Hi,

i have just completed masters in physics and is planning to apply for ph.d. (preferably Europe). I have heard that german universities have the provision where i could directly mail to the profs. expressing my desire to pursue my research interest under their guidance.

what i need to know is, are German universities the only ones that offer this kind of proficiency for admission or are that any other countries like US that also has these sort of admission facilities.

I'm from india and have completed my msters in physics. i've scored 78% in my U.G. and 66% in P.G. My english language skill is fairly good. Could you Plz. suggest any abroad universities where i can apply for my further studies (preferably Europe but other places are equally welcome). And last bit of information i've published work in a reputed journal theoretical condensed matter physics. My area of interest is theoretical condensed matter physics.

Plz. do suggest me some abroad universities and preferably not some top universities b'coz i'm fully aware since my P.G. percentage is only 66% i cannot get into top b schools so plz. suggest for me some good c or d grade universities.

hi i'm a b.sc. physics student.as part of the curriculum we are asked to do a project for a minimum period of 4 weeks during summer.at the end of 4 weeks i'm supposed to bring the report signed by my guide.it can be done in any industry or research institute.i have applied in quiet some research institutes,though i'm not sure whether i'll make it or not.As far industries are concerned i'm not sure how and where to go apply.

can u suggest any industry/institute where i can apply.i also want the project experience to be fruitful.my area of interests are

1.condensed matter physics

2.astro/geo physics

3.nuclear physics

academically i have 78% marks.if required i can get reference letter from my faculties.i have previously completed summer project in condensed matter physics.

i got a mail from pch claiming i have won some cash.i have never heard of these guys and later figured out such sweeps exist but then again i haven't subscribed to these and they claim my email id was selected randomly among 1000000 international mail ids along with four others.

they have enclosed some lotto no. etc and want me enclose my name,adress occupation,salary etc. and have opted to pay by dd or cheque and no cash or bank account no.from my part has been demanded.it seems to good to be true.

1.will i get into trouble if disclose my address and other details

2.does PCH pay in cash as far i checked out they do it in gifts.
