I'm a base playin' - music listenin' - mate lickin' - llama kissin'- dodgeh spellin' - hair dyin' ignoramous with the wit and intelligence of Pam Anderson. However, my teeth are better, as are my sex tapes. I'm a psychology student, and I have a degree in Egyptology and Egyptian Archaeology. All these qualifications lead me to Gloucester in the UK, where I work as a project manager. Stay in school! I will always answer everything honestly, to the best of my ability, however please don't ask me to read minds. If your question is something like "Does he / she like me?" the truth is, we can take a best guess, based on what you've told us, but honestly, we don't know. My advice will normally always be 'Why you asking a bunch of stranger on the internet, instead of asking the one person that matters...?" Folks need to learn to be a little more open and honest with people, and we'll all be fine.

  • Small Business from Rented Property?

Hello! I have the opportunity to buy a small business, but I currently rent my flat. What are my options for 'registering' and trading out of somewhere else? For example - if I were to purchase a garage, could I run my business out of there? How about out of a storage unit or a building with office space? What about my parents house? I have no idea what the legalities are or where to start.

The business is online, so I won't have customers turning up and the space I'll be using will be literally for my laptop and sorting posting items.

I have my provisional drivers license, and am looking to start learning to drive again. Trouble is, it has my old address on it. Is my provisional license still valid, or do I need to get a new one?

  • How much tax should I of paid...?

I got took a little bit of a promotion within the same company three months back. For one reason or another, my salary didn't increase as it was supposed to back in September. Previously, I earned £26,000, and in my new job, I earn £30,000. The company agreed to back-date my payment, and this month I earned £2,500 before tax, and about £600 in backdated payment. My total deductions for NI / Tax topped £800, which is about 27% - given my unusual situation - I have no idea if that's right. 27% seems incredibly high compared to what I normally pay - have I entered a new tax bracket, or am I worrying unnecessarily?

  • Excel - Self removing Validations?!?

    Howdy

Have a small problem, that I think might result in writing some VB code that I'm not very good at.

In excel, in column B, I have a list of names. Running across row 1, I have a list of dates. In each of the columns for the dates, I have a drop down list in which the user selects a time slot of 10 minute intervals to book out a meeting. For example, Bob, named in column B, on the first date (so cell C2) should see a drop down of all timeslots.

What I want to happen, is once the timeslot on that day is taken, it gets removed from the list validation. By day, there should be no duplicate timeslots and should be unavailable to select.

Simply, In column C, using validations, once a value has been select, it should be removed from the validated list, and unable to be selected.

Any ideas??? Reallllllly need help. The only thing I can do is write a vlookup and make it throw back an error at the end of the column, but can't make the timeslot physically remove itself...

  • Beginner Astronomer - What to do, what to do...?

    Hey!

I've never ever done anything with astronomy before, but I have a keen interest. At Christmas, my dad brought out his old telescope and managed to find the moon - it was incredible - we could see it in such detail that we literally had to move the scope ever 10 seconds due to the earth spin =D

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm also very, very skint, but very very keen. Any suggestions where to start / what equipment can be used for such a n00b I??

Thanks most kindly, and have a fab evening!

  • Step by Step Instructions for Formatting a PC?

    Afternoon all;

I'm not very technically minded, but I'm pretty sure my PC needs to be formatted, it takes ages to do anything, despite a recent memory upgrade. I can't find my XP disc at the moment, but will be buying a new one at the weekend.

Can anyone give me step by step instructions how to format my computer? Also, I know it makes a difference for some things, but my PC is a media PC, which is, as far as my friends have told me, are rubbish for doing anything with!

    Help is greatly appreciated!

  • Where can I legally download Lost when it comes out?

I'm in the UK, and don't have access to Sky television, but really am totally addicted to Lost (been doing like a weekly countdown since the end of the last season!). We also make a big deal of it, get some friends out, get some beers in, and make a real evening of it every week. I'd like to download it somewhere legally, no problems paying for it or anything, but all the places I've looked look like really dodgy (spelling mistakes, and look like their just gunna clone my card o_O)

Can anyone recommend a legal sites where I can download Lost?

  • Where Can I Buy a Shower that Attaches to Square Taps?

I live in rented property - so I'm very limited as to what I can do. I have a bath at the moment, with square taps, and I really want a shower - so I was wondering if anyone in the UK knew where I could get a square push on tap shower?... (if that makes any sense at all!)

  • Wind up Chargers?

    Heya!

I'm going to a festival in a couple days, my alarm clock's broken, and I really need a solar powered / wind up charger to charge my phone so I can set an alarm, and not miss half the festival!

Catch is, because it's so late in the day (well, festivals in under a week!), I need to buy it from a shop, and have it in my hands, can't order it online for fear of it not getting here in time.

Any suggestions of shops that actually sell these things? I'm in the UK!

  • When you were in school....?

Was it a really big thing to write in pen? I remember, we all had to write in pencil, then when your handwriting was good enough, you were sent to the head master and got put "on pen", which meant officially, you no longer had to use a pencil, and you walked around like you were suddenly a whole different, slightly more intelligent species.

It was a really big status thing in my part of the country. People would occasionally lie, and say they were on pen as if to be in with the cool kids, but you knew full well they were lying.

Dumb question, I know, but we discussed it today at work, and wondered if it was different in other cultures, or weather it was just a very southern British thing.

    Ta very much =)

  • What Can I Do A Training Session On?

I've been told to progress up the career ladder, I have to compose a 15 minute, informal presentation on whatever I like. A girl in the same situation as me, for example, is doing one on balloon modelling and origami. I want something that I can talk about for ages, with lots of audience participation. People have told me to "Do whatever your passionate about" ... which is fine, but I can't take 15 camera's, of 15 guitars on the train with me! I had a good idea on doing a presentation on how useless the internet it (somewhat ironic now) - and talking about how many random facts can be discovered via it's use - but then I realised that has nothing to go with training. Any help ?! I'm completely stuch!
