  • I have a green pitcher plant that stays outside. How am I supposed to feed it and care for it?

Our pitcher plant seems to be doing very well right now. I make sure to keep the moss it is planted in nice and moist. Am I supposed to be placing bugs inside of the pitcher, or am I supposed to let the bugs come to it???

I am so confused on how to properly care for this plant. Any tips about what it eats, and if I can leave it exposed without a clear container around it (to give it a greenhouse effect), and any other info that I should know, will be greatly appreciated.

  • What can I do to help decrease severe metabolic syndrome side effects?

I was just diagnosed with severe metabolic syndrome? I constantly am extremely hot (sweating) or the total opposite to where I have to bundle up. I don't want to eat because if I do, I get so sick that I want to puke! I always feel weak and I guess you could say "icky." If you have this syndrome or know about it, please tell me some things I can do that will help keep these side effects from ruining every day of my life! I have a doctor's appointment for it, but since it's the VA, there's no telling when they'll actually help with this!

I know I have to change my diet and slowly work exercise into my life, but that's the only thing I know to do.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Tiny little black bugs are crawling on my snake's water dish, what are they?

This morning, while changing out my snake's water, I noticed tiny little black bugs, no bigger than the tip of a pen, were crawling in and around the water dish. I change his water out every day and have never noticed them before. WHAT ARE THEY AND ARE THEY HARMFUL TO MY SNAKE???

If I need to get rid of them, what measures should I take so I can keep my snake safe and healthy? He hasn't eaten in a week and that's unusual for him. I'm worried that the little bugs have something to do with it.

If you have information, please let me know 1) What are the bugs? 2) Are they harmful? 3) Do I need to clean out the whole tank and put in new bedding? 4)Could my snake not be eating because of these bugs?

Note: I have an 8 month old Corn Snake and we feed him in the box that we brought him home in, so he doesn't eat in his tank, and he usually eats one pinky every Sunday and Wednesday.

  • What can help rid my ferrets of diarrhea?

I have 3 ferrets and they all have diarrhea. They have constant supply to fresh water, they eat Evo kibble, don't have access to anything they are not supposed to eat, have baths as needed, get regular nail trimmings, have clean ears, eyes, and teeth. They are overall spoiled, but healthy ferrets! Is there anything I can do to get their bodies working properly so they don't have diarrhea?

    ~Pet Spa Day

    ~Penny Wars

    ~Food Drives

    ~Pie Toss

~Animal Supplies Drive (like a food drive but with animal supplies)

  • Can you really freeze bread to use later?

I have all kinds of bread that was given to me. I have every kind of bread imaginable, and over 20 loaves of it. I was told that I could freeze it and when I get ready to use it, all I have to do is let it thaw out. I know it can be frozen, but will it still taste the same when it thaws out?

If you do this regularly or you know for sure that it can be done and still taste the same, please let me know. If it doesn't taste right after thawing, I don't want to waste my time. I'd rather give it away to someone who can use it now.

Do I just leave it in it's original bag, or do I need to do something to it before freezing?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Is is plagiarism if...?

So I'm taking Bio Chemistry and we do Lab work where we get into groups of 4 or 5. We all do the same work and type up the same report with the same numbers. Is it plagiarism if we all have the exact same report even though we worked in groups to make sure we were doing the work correctly???

Because our instructor is giving at least 6 people half a grade for their work, even though we weren't even in the same groups, and didn't work together at all! We had to calculate density and the actual density of certain elements. So wouldn't everyone get the same answer??

Tell me what you think. Is it plagiarism, or is the guy being a dumbass?

  • Need ferret health information for my sick ferret!!!?

Please let me know if this has happened to your ferret or you know what might be wrong.

My ferret is bleeding out of her anus and it looks like it's actually sticking out a little. She's still drinking water, eating, and playing with our other ferret and has not been vomiting. She is waddling when she walks and shaking more than usual.

I'm calling her doctor tomorrow (he's not in on Sundays), but I'm doing what I can to comfort her until then.
