Shmoke IV

Recently I've been looking at 間　As in using it to mean during, between etc.

I understand it I think but have one problem、　Sometimes I see it used with に　Though sometimes not at all、　My　Japanese housemate said it was used to mean during and for, roughly

But I wonder if there is actually a rule for when to use に　And when not to, I'll give you an example of each:

No　に

ご飯を食べている間山田さんはテレビを見ていた

With に

ご飯を食べている間に山田さんが来た

These are from my grammar dictionary, it says　a lot about Subordinate clauses and so on but Uh, 全然分からない！

If Anyone could explain the difference simply I would be very greatful,

Since the only difference in those two sentences is the end verb I assume it might have something to do with that.　But I dont know, anhy help is very much appreciated!

Well, it used to work fine, but now whatever i record sounds terrible. Playing a guitar into it sounds literally like you are just tuning up, basically it sounds like everythings being majorly compressed or recorded at the wrong bitrate, but upon a quick look it didn't look as though this was the case.

Now I don't just mean in professional audio programs, cause that soundcard never worked in those but this is in EVERYTHING, even msn and that free recorder thing that comes with windows.

There is one thing I think might have caused it but I don't know why it would!

Sometimes I use an external sound card since I am a music producer and therefore disable the internal one. Could this have messed up the inbuilt microphone. I guess I could buy an XLR mic to use with the Ext. But I'd rather save my yen :)

Ok, so I have this fairly thick, long hair thats neither curly or straight which is basically exactly in the state from when I got it cut (I used to have much longer hair, about mid back) but this was VERY annoying in the wind and so on, and had to be tied back almost all the time, also work did not like it very much either haha. Also I got sick of it, so im left with this:

some people told me to cut it short, which I dunno if I wanna do, I think I'd rather get it styled somehow and just a bit shorter, cause i think it looks silly now.
