  • What does this mean? 10 to the sixth power μm?

    I do not understand the context of μ in this. I am working alone on a Calculus book that asks:

    Which of the following is longest?

    (a) 10 to the fourth cm

    (b) 10 to the fourth mm

    (c) 10 to the sixth μm

    (d) 10 to the ninth nm

    (e) none of these

    NOTE: I do not want or even care about the actual answer to the question here. A pointer to help me understand this, or a simple explanation of what "10 to the sixth power μm" is will answer this.
