How just formatted my computer using Sony Vaio "erase and wipe" option, wasn't what I was wanting to do, it seems the restore C drive option was what I was aiming for, but mistook this for just windows system restore that doesn't delete anything. I have restore disks, which I used to wipe the computer. Now it loads up to 'no os system' without the disk in and with the disk comes up with the sony 'system recovery options' with the option to select an os system to repair but none are there (since I wiped it off) there is the option to load drivers. Clicking next takes me onto the Sony Recovery Tools with system restore, command prompt, windows complete pc restore and Vaio Recovery with all the options I had befored I wiped. Do the recovery disks have a way of reinstalling windows vista? Or do I need to buy a new copy?

I want to make a website, I am looking to buy a domain ie like one that is www....co.uk or .com, is there a best site to buy a domain, is there a best site to host a domain.

Once you have bought a domain, how do you run it on a domain, is there any tutuorials, I know how to write a basic html code but how do you put it onto a domain? How do you get the page you make to be a hompage?

Is there anywhere to buy a domain in cash? I'm unsure if I ahve the right bank card to buy a domain.

For workers working for a call centre selling insurance, is it law for them to have to be FSA regulation trained?

Is there any law?

Are there any sources for this?

i was given a contract whilst on the phone and asked to sign it on the spot, is there any law against this?

My friend and I have always talked about owning a company, and for his 18th I'd like to get him a certifiicate of ownership, but would I have to register it as a real company and have shares ect, its confusing what I have found.

Any ideas how I could do this and where?

Need help in translating 'I will make it up to you next time' into Hebrew, I thought I had it but my grammer is rotten.

This is just a puzzle, I know the answer but just for general amusement or annoyance.

When you take any three digit number, not a reverse of itself (e.g 787).

Reverse it and subtract the smaller of the two from the larger.

(if left with a two digit number a zero must be placed in front of it, e.g 098)

Take the answer to this and its reverse and add them together.

Show why, in anyway you choose, why the answer will always be 1089.

(A university lecturer did this trick on me and I was annoyed for the next few days trying to work out why.)

Well here is my problem:

I am wiping my laptop and reinstalling windows because I have been told that I should do that every so often, but I haven't done it once. I have 8.41GB of data that I want to keep but my laptop doesn't have a dvd rewriter, therefore I would need alot of cds and it would take alot of time.

My vista pc is the source of my internet connection through a netgear router and my laptop is connected to it threw a netgear USB adapter. I was hoping to sharing a folder on my laptop and moving all the files I want to keep onto the pc, but I am having severe difficulty. I have changed both the workgroup names, made file sharing open on both, made the vista private and my xp can find the vista on the workgroup but when I click on it an error message comes up;

'*computer name* is not accessible, you might not have permission to acess this netwrok resource'

and my vista doesn't register the xp on the network. Any ideas whats wrong?
