  • I just got engaged! Wedding locations in Lancashire/Cheshire?

I don't want a church wedding, but I do want somewhere really pretty. I imagine there will be about 150-200 people - any ideas in my local area, either somewhere you got married yourself or somewhere you've visited?

  • Why are sales people such aresholes?

I work with a bunch of em and I'm certain they only have 1 brain cell between the lot of them and yet they genuinely believe they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

OK, so you can talk crap down a phone, it doesn't make you special!

  • Band logo help/design ideas?

We're starting up a covers band called 'Carbon Copy' and could do with a logo for use on Myspace and websites etc. I was hoping I could be super cheeky and find someone who is studying some kind of design and would like to do it as part of a portfolio.

Otherwise, general ideas would be useful, I have a basic knowledge of photoshop so that's something!

    Thanks

  • Need to find a vid on youtube?

I saw a vid sent to me in an email, and it was this big machin that pinged balls out onto xylophones and then they bounced into cups. And even betterr, it played Xmas music!!

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows where a link to the vid is, I'd love you forever!!!

  • Reading and book recommendation websites?

Hi, I love to read, but find it near impossible to choose a book from the shelves! I was wondering if anone knows of an online sort of book club, where I can review books that I've read, and it can recommend similar authors and styles to the stuff that I like. A bit like amazon does in a way, but that annoys me, as ever since I bought an xbox game it does nothing but recommend xbox peripherals.

I'd also like to be able to read reviews and small excerpts.

    Thanks!

  • Toy gun - where to buy one?

I'm making an outfit to go out as Alice from Resident Evil, and was wondering if anyone know where I can buy a nice big toy gun (similar size if poss) as the one in this picture. Have got the pistol no problem, but the big one would just make it more awesome!!

  • Piano sheet music ideas?

I've spent years playing 'classical' piano and the novelty wore off a long time ago. I've finally got back to it but want to play something a little more popular and do some piano/vocal acoustic covers.

I want to know some good songs, which wok well as piano only tracks and that I can get the proper sheet music for. Examples I've started on are Faithfully by Journey, My Immortal by Evanescence and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera.

I can't think of much, but would like some popular songs that most people will have heard of. I'm about grade 6 level if that helps.

    Thanks!

  • Debts of a previous house owner.?

I moved into my house in December 2006, but it appears that the previous homeowner has left a rather large credit card debt associated with the address. Citi financial write to the address on a weekly basis and the debt is over £20k. A card was popped through my door recently saying that someone would be calling to 're-establish contact' and I phoned to explain the situation. Despite explaining several times, they persist in writing to him at my address, and trying to contact him via my mobile number (which they got when I first contacted them to explain), despite me giving them the only contact number I had for his girlfriend when I originally bought the house.

What can I do to stop this. Not only is it massively inconvenient, but this debt is having a negative effect on my own credit rating by being associated with my address.

    Help please!!!

  • best email client for outlook/blackberry?

I have yahoo mail now which synchronises the server with my blackberry when I delete items. But I use my email in Outlook. It usually works quite well in that when I am on my computer the messages are downloaded and deleted from the server, so my phone doesn't start beeping aswell. But as I only send/receive every 5 minutes, most slip the net and beep my phone as well as later arriving in my inbox on my pc.

The worst is when I am away from the computer all day and deal with emails by blackberry, and then get home to a full inbox.

Ideally, I would want mail to appear on both devices, but to be shown as read if it has been dealt with on the other device. Otherwise I seem to be doing everything twice.

Are there any effective ways of synchronising my blackberry with Outlook without having to pay for blackberry server.

Are there better email clients to use for this purpose?

    Thanks

  • Good decking cleaner?

My decking has never been treated and has discoloured and is looking pretty tatty. I'm planning on painting it soon, but need to clean it up first. Does anyone know any good decking cleaners that revive the decking with as little as possible effort (please don't just Google, I want answers from someone who has actually used a product that worked well)

    Thanks

  • Intense Colour Hair dye?

I currently have black hair, and want intense red/pink/purple anything!

I have used different pre-lighteners before which don't strip my hair to white, but they do strip it to a very very light pinky shade which I thoughtshould be sufficient to put an intense dye over.

I've used pot colours that friends have used and been fine, but they never seem to take on my hair (red goes a kind of nasty neon pink, purple went a bit orange).

With general hair dyes, my hair normally sucks it up and takes the colour perfectly, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Is it OK to dye straight after lightening, or should I give my hair a day off in between?

I'm thinking of buying Fudge paintbox colours soon, so any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Electronic letterheads?

At work, we use ready printed letterheaded paper to print letters for sending in the post.

Technology is now requiring that we send a lot of documents via email on letterhead. Our current method is to print to letterhead and scan. But it looks rubbish to say the least.

Is there a way (software or print driver) to have a pdf doc of our letterhead which we can merge onto when printing from Word/Excel so we end up with a nice letterheaded electronic document?

I know we could create the letterhead within word by inserting headers/footers, but our headed paper has background images which would become very time consuming to insert into each document required electronically.

    Thanks!

  • Little Britain Dennis Waterman?

Does anyone know which season/episode it is where Dennis has his little keyboard and stage cutout and is trying to pitch a musical. He keeps talking about orphans swarming the stage, and has a musical called 'musical', where the theme tune goes "musical, musical do do do"

A youtube (or similar link) to this sketch would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Can I use two seperate cable modems in different rooms rather than setting up a wireless network?

I have cables in two rooms of the house, and could get a second cable modem for next to nothing to use with my second computer. Will this work instead of setting up a wireless network?

  • Garden fences?

My garden fences are getting a bit knackered but I can't really afford to replace them all. Only about 3 of them are desperate for replacement, but it will look awful if some are new and some are really old.

Can you buy some kind of covering that you can put over the fence panels to hide them (like bamboo or something?), so that I can replace just the couple that are really bad, and that would be a cheaper alternative to buying all new panels?

If so, can you please direct me to a website as I'm struggling to find anything.

Other suggestions are also very welcome!

  • Small businesses in Wigan/Lancashire looking for promotion?

I have recently started my own business and thought that advertising other small businesses in the area on my site in return for them placing my banner on theirs would generate more business for us both.
