  • Need to reduce muzzle climb in AR 15?

I recently built a custom AR with a very lite BCM KMR 13 floating rail, fluted 16 inch barrel, and 1inch battle comp. while the rifle is much lighter than my other AR which was the goal, the muzzle climb is more pronounced and follow up shots are slower (unintended consequence). My primary engagement range for this rifle is 0-100 meters. Hand gaurd cost too much to replace. I don t have a work bench at the moment so a barrel swap would be very inconvenient right now but I do think a heavier barrel is my best option unfortunately. I m hesitant to try a new muzzle brake as I paid good money for the battle comp and I m not sure a different one would get the results I want. Someone recommended an adjustable gas block.

    Anyone have a recommendation?

If self defense is not a crime, am I required to notify the police if I use a weapon to defend myself? Furthermore, can I be held accountable considering I still have my 5th amendment rights?

  • best 4 season hiking tent?

Im looking for a good winter hiking tent. There is no such thing as a light weight winter tent though like there is for summer time. Does anyone camp in cold climates and what do you recommend?

  • 5.56 NATO and barrel twist?

I have a BCM M4 chambered for 5.56 NATO and barrel twist is 1:7. From what I gather, this barrel twist is ideal for a heavier grain round such as 90 grain. If I shoot cheaper ammo (55-64 grain) will it have a huge impact on barrel life or accuracy? Ammo ain't cheap.

  • How much time with the buddies is too much?

I work. I pay the bills. I put the food on the table. My spouse does not work. She spends most of her time taking care of the house and child. She has the option to get out and about but chooses not to. I go out with my buddies maybe once a month if Im lucky. Im so tired of fighting about it that I just dont go out anymore. If Im bringing home the bacon by the truck load, saving money regularly, and doing an otherwise good job as head of house hold, how much time alone or with my buds is too much?

  • wiring and engine noise?

A while back, I took my car to Car Toys. (dont ever bring your car there). I had them re-do the box in my trunk to allow for more space in the trunk. Needless to say, I didnt get what I was promised. On top of that, they decided to re wire things because they didnt like how the other guy did before them. Now, I have a whine in my front speakers (all speakers hooked up to an amp) that coralates with my RPMs. I believe this to be "engine noise". So, Turns out they ran a "aught" gauge wire from my altenator to my battery that was factory installed in the trunk. I have two MTX amps. The first amp is a four channel and the second is an 81001 monoblock. I have two yellow tops in the trunk where the one original used to be and didnt have problems prior to cartoys ruining my baby. Is the "aught" gauge rodundant or is it really nessesary? I dont think it is. I think it is the source of the whine in my speakers. What do you think?

  • CAR TOYS audio video store?

I brought my car to "car toys" to have a box rebuilt to allow for more space. They "had to" re-wire" the car which ended up frying my amp twice. The box they built was nothing like what I asked for. they were pricy as hell and talked **** all day about the first guy who wired it (who just so happened to win better then 30 car audio comps). In the end everything was blammed on a type of sub that has not had problems since I re did all the wiring myself. anyone else have problems like this with them?
