for instance, if metabolic consumption increases as the temperature increases, is that considered compensation or not? or does metabolic compensation refer to metabolic compensation staying the same when the temperature increases?

ex. the invention of the cellphone, the french revolution, etc.

1) D'apres l'auteur, l'essence d'une civilisation est associé avec la langue et la mentalité, qui est la philosophie utilisée á s'approche la vie.

2) Oui, je suis d'accord avec Voltaire parce que les contradicitons des Français sont grands. Je pense que il n'y a nul pays au monde qui peut être tres insensé á avoir les contradicitons grands commes les Français.

Yes, I agree with Voltaire because the contradictions of the French are huge. I think that there is no other country that is foolish enough to have big contradictions like the French.

3) Je voudrais mentionner que les Canadiens ditent le mot "Eh" aprés leurs phrases beaucoup. Aussi, les Canadiens sont trés polis. Finalement, je voudrais mentionner que nous, les Canadiens, sommes trés "open-minded."

Thousands and thousands of novels have been written from the Medieval Times to the present. However, how many of these books actually educate the reader about many of the world’s social and political issues and about many of its problems and injustices instead of being just a story? How many of them do all that along with an interesting story? Mitch Albom’s the five people you meet in heaven is a novel that does all that: it keeps the reader interested, informs the reader of the world’s social and political issues and illuminates the reader of its many problems and injustices and ‘eye-opening’ truths.
