  • Basic air ticketing info?

Need to purchase Christmas round trip tickets for son (19) and friend. CA to MN (He lost his debit card, so I need to pay for the flights) If I book and pay online, can I enter their names on the tickets, so they pick up there, or do I need to talk to an agent. Will a mn photo driver's license suffice for id or will they need more? Haven;t flown in awhile, so I'm not sure of the new security rules. Thanks in advance.

  • 1950's Cuba Trivia question?

I was watching "Our Man in Havana" which was filmed in Havana in the 1950's. In the film, there were signs with five digit numbers everywhere on the streets, lining street columns, on triangular hats worn by men, etc. At first I thought they might be street addresses, but they appear random and not sequential. There were no illustrations or text attached, so it does not appear to be telephone numbers or other advertisement. Just random numbers on individual signs. Does anyone know what they were?

  • Navy CH-46 Sea Knight Crew duties?

    2 questions.

    1. According to one helipcopter site, in addition to the two pilots, crew chief and a mechanic were listed as crew. What were the crew chiefs and mechanic's duties? Specifically, I'm wondering why a mechanic was necessary on every flight.

    2. with two rotors, is there an additional or independent flight controller for the rear rotor, or is it just synced to the main rotor for control? Thanks in advance.

  • Snowboard Repair?

Aluminum wing tip on leading base edge of snowboard is starting to delaminate. The LTD board has only been used a few times and is in great condition so I don't want to get rid of it. Looks like a design defect, emailed LTD but they haven't responded. Does this happen often, and can it be repaired with epoxy and clamps?

  • How can we improve our schools so our children will be able to compete in a world marketplace?

Our present K-12 educational system was built around an industrial 9 a.m.. to 5 p.m. work schedule, with a single wage earner, with family and community support. Today, parents struggle with archaic school schedules, and children face a digital world marketplace, compete on an international basis for jobs, have to grow up faster, and have to learn more. If you could make any changes or improvements or start from scratch, what could we do?

  • Spanish translation? song?

Anyone have the translation or complete words to Topo Gigio's song?

    Topo Gigio:

*cantando* "Hasta mañana, si Dios quiere, que descansen bien

Llegó la hora de acostarse, y de dormir también

Porque mañana será otro día, hay que vivirlo con alegría"
