My daughter is looking at apartments on H Street in Washington, D.C., for her Congressional internship. Is the area doing well? On one hand it seems to be a hot spot, but I read that there are a lot of empty storefronts. She is looking at Station House for a place to live for five months. Comments on safety welcome.

Thinking about getting the PS 4. Have Xbox 360 now. Would family save $100 year by moving to PS?

I am looking for recommendations for a used car for my teenaged daughter. I have $8,000 to $10,000 to spend. And I would spend less if I could get a safe car.

Our kids are struggling in some classes after moving to a new state from a small school to a large school. The structure in the new school has caused them to miss some items.

Do we help them, take away privileges, let them fail to make them more independent? Does this all work out if they were pretty much A students to start.

I am looking for tips on the selection and installation of Woodlook tiles. The tiles will go in a open area that is a living room breakfast area family room. I have limited experience doing tile, having replaced the tiles in the kitchen.

A friend of mine has contacted me about possibly hiring me. Here are the facts and a couple of questions.

He is the CEO and I would be a VP over a dept. of 40 people. I am CEO of a company and manage 24, so his company in the same business is quite a bit larger. Similar pay and benefits.

The location is the Florida panhandle. This is attractive as I am 62 and it seems like if I make the move, I will already be locating in a good retirement area. I do have children, having a second marriage late in life (no kids in the first marriage). They are a high school freshman and a sixth grader. The area has a mix of locals and transplants. That seems like a good thing for the kids getting acclimated.

If this job were near the northern location I am now, I probably would not be interested. But the Florida thing seems attractive.

Questions:

What is it like to live in Florida?

Will this be OK for the kids (daughter hates the tiny high school she is in now)?

Am I just fantisizing that life will be better in sunny Florida vs. the north?

Any pitfalls in working for friends? Will we still be able to socialize? We get along well as couples.

I have done several paintings using Jerry Yarnell books but need more variety and techniques. Please recommend any "step by step" sources as mentioned above to create projects. Someday I might even do originals!

We are looking for a reasonably priced hotel perhaps a half hour by train or subway from New York City. Reasonably price probably $85 to $150 and safe location. We would then visit city during day and return at night.

I ordered a Panasonic Lumix FZ200 from 42nd Street Photo. They called back with a shipping question and they guy asked about my need for a memory card. He said an ordinary card would not perform as well...slower...errors. So I did buy an 8GB card because I was on the road and had not computer access. $150 and he said same card is $250 elsewhere. Your comments and knowledge please!

It says I have administrator privileges but it will not let me uninstall. I am trying to get rid of ooVoo and Skype on this netbook. I am the only account except for guest, which is a standard user. Is it possible some malware had corrupted something so that the uninstall function is screwed up? Is there another place besides the control panel to access privileges?

I will be going to Canada on June 2 to Rice Lake, known for great bluegill fishing. I want to take an inherited fly rod and recently purchased reel. A few quick questions:

1. I practiced casting in the backyard and it went pretty well. I am thinking careful prepsentation might not be as big a factor at this time of year. The line (no leader or tippet) was cracking like a whip sometimes. Does this mean I am doing something wrong?

2. I was not planning on invested in premade leaders etc. Can I just tie on 8 lb. for a leader and 6 or 4 lb for a tippet? (Working on my knots!).

I have an appointment through the automated system to get a passport at the Chicago agency on May 25. Do they issue it the day I am there, assuming the documents are in order? How long is the wait? I am traveling June 2. I could get an appointment earlier than the 25th, I think.

I will be traveling from U.S. to Canada June 2 to stay for a week. I did not know about the need for a passport (out of touch, I know). My plan is to go apply at the local post office and get an expedited passport card. Will I get it in two week? Is it safer to get a passport book and pay for the overnight both ways or does that really make any difference? I live about 3 to 4 hours from Detroit so I would burn a whole day if I went to apply in person for something. But if I did that, would that insure getting it in time?

I can shoot someone first online and then I get killed. Is this my Internet connection or do they have a hack?

I have the 4GB model. What is a good, less expensive way of adding storage? Do I have to have an Xbox endorsed product? I have a Seagate hard drive that I could connect via USB.

I am close to completing the main missions that I have picked up. Did I miss this opportunity?

When working on romance do you have to have full paragon or something or do you just keep intereacting (assuming character loyal)? What about Kelly?
