I've really screwed up. I've managed to delete the security permissions for "Everyone" on my external hard drive (G:). I didn't mean to do that. Now there's noone with permission to change the permissions and I can't change it back! Is there a little program to fix this? Or a line of DOS? Help! All my music and photos are on there!

My landlord entered my flat yesterday, nine days after giving me 24 hours notice. He found the flat a mess (i'd been out) and there were traces of cannabis (which I use medicinally). He has now served notice to quit the property. Given that we've both broken the law, and the tenancy agreement, what is the best course of action? I know I should have been more careful, but surely there's some give and take here? What's the legal position?

I've got a Toshiba Multimedia Center external hub - but Vista doesn't want to recognise it. I've seen a way of trying to "trick" Vista into installing it, but so far to no avail. Any ideas?

I'm using Toshiba Mediacenter running Creative Mediasource. Is there a way of making it recognise iTunes files such as aac and mp4?

I recently bought a 5.1 soundcard to allow me to DJ on my laptop. After about half an hour of use, the sound suddenly speeds up and crackles. The only way to stop this is to reboot. I'm using iTunes and Virtual DJ (Console Edition). Any ideas what's causing the problem and how I can fix it? It did it during a set the other night which was very embarrassing!

I've just set up a home wifi network. The computer works on it fine, (i'm typing on it now!), but I can't get my SPV M3100 to talk to it - It finds the network, accepts the network key, but then says "Unable to obtain a server-assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network Settings".

(a) why isn't it assigning automatically? (b) what would the IP address be, and (c) where would enter it, anyway?

I'm close to chucking the stupid thing out the window! Help!

I am getting ntl fitted this weekend. I want to go wireless - will any router do? Or does it have to be a special spec, as it's cable? If so, what spec?

I can be really horny, and then totally loose my drive after a game of squash or something, for the rest of the day. Am I lacking some kind of nutrient or vitamin?

I don't want to upset Mr Gates!
