My friend is in Bootcamp for the Navy and developed conditions called Osteochondrosis hydroceles and Varicocele (sp?). Needless to say, he is getting a Medical Discharge. The problem is that the Navy doctors said he will need surgery, but they will not cover the cost of it. They said if he wants compensation he will have to sue the Navy; knowing full well that he signed a form before he joined stating he could not sue.

He does not have insurance nor can he work to pay for his injuries as he is in constant pain. I really need to help him sort this out because no one else will - not even his family. The navy doctors said he has two options: 1) He can choose to have his case viewed by the medical board and be stuck in boot camp in pain for another 3-4 months and have a "99% chance of rejection" and not be able to return to the military, or choose to go home now and pay for the surgery himself and rejoin the military once he is medically cleared.

He really wants to rejoin the military so having the board review his case is too much of a gamble. I basically need to find out what he can do. What are his options for covering his surgery if he is a Florida Resident? What steps should he take? On his discharge paperwork it does state that he was injured during bootcamp which he fought greatly for. Before they would not even admit that.

Hello on Sunday my brother got into a car accident in which his car was totaled. It wasn't his fault. He was driving straight on a green light and the lady was coming up the other way and turning left and instead of waiting for him to pass she gunned it and slammed into his front driver's side. His gf who was following him witnessed the whole thing and filled out a police report and the lady also admitted to it and got a ticket.

My brother had put a lot of time and money into his car. It was an older car from 1990 but everything inside of it was new and expensive. Now I know the lady's insurance is supposed to cover it but lets face it they will try to undercut the value of the car because of the year. My mother keeps trying to discourage him telling him the lawyers will steal his money and that he is NOT ALLOWED to sue someone with insurance. I think she is wrong. Why should he lose so much in the car + be in a lot of pain + lose work + be further inconvenienced by doctors visits and everything just because of someones stupidity?

They had to take him to the hospital in an ambulance on a backboard. He has no external injuries but is feeling a lot of pain and had to get many scans done. He works security but he cant go back to work for a while because of the pain. What would be a reasonable lawsuit if any?

I am a bit confused as to what I should do about this. My vacation to Kyoto Japan was scheduled for August 15-23rd.

My flight schedule was MIA (5:45AM) - ATL (8:00 AM), ATL (12 NOON) - NRT (1:30 PM). I was perfectly happy with the schedule but then they changed it without even alerting me and it's a good thing i check periodically. I wouldnt leave Atlanta until 2:30 in the afternoon then I would arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport at 5:00 pm. This is a big problem for me because 1) I will be sitting in Atlanta for 6 hours and 2) I arrive in Japan way too late since I need to travel to Kyoto and public transportation (as far as I know) in Japan closes at 8pm. Assuming I clear customs in 1 hour it would take me at LEAST 4 hours to get to Kyoto via the bullet train. I will be then stuck in Kyoto station. I could probably take a taxi to the hotel from there but it is very expensive.

Is there any way I can complain to Delta that arriving in Japan that late would be problematic for not only me but probably everyone on the flight? Or at least so i'm not stuck in Atlanta for 6 hours. I think it is very unfair. They had also changed my plane from a Boeing 777 to a 747 so now I cant even use my laptop on a 14 hour flight. I am very upset. If anything could be done about it should I wait until the flight date gets closer in case it changes again? This is rediculous how you can spend $1000+ on a plane ticket only for them to fiddle around with the schedule however they want. What can I do? Any help would be greaty appreciated. Thank you.

Hello I am asking this for my friend who is a US permanent resident but a Venezuelan Citizen. We are scheduled to go to China this year in October and we are trying to figure out how to get a passport for her to go. She is a Florida resident and we were wondering how would she go about getting a Venezuelan passport without going to Venezuela. She tried calling the embassy but there is no answer.

Also, how long does it take to get one? She needs time to apply for a Chinese Visa. Any insight to this would be appreciated greatly!!

Hello I am confused as to when I should port my number to T-Mobile. My contract with Verizon ends on October 17th (Friday) and my billing cycle ends on the 18th. I don't feel comfortable going to T-Mobile before the contract expires because knowing my luck there is always a misunderstanding and things get canceled prematurely and I dont want to be slammed with a cancellation fee. I was going to go to the T-Mobile store the day my contract ends. However, I'm worried that Verizon will bill me another month because I don't know how long the transition takes... I don't understand how all of this works. Can someone clarify for me? Thanks :)

My doctor sent me to get an arterial/venous Doppler of lower extremities. This scan came up negative for clots. They said my blood flow is good too. Originally she sent me because it was possible that I had developed a blood clot from being on the pill.

I was on the pill for 3 years and I developed varicose veins on my right foot and ankle, along with a red bruise that appeared about 2 months ago and has not gone away. None of it is painful to the touch, but my entire legs are sore like I have been running and I havent. My right calf is sore deep within like I was hit very hard (but I wasn't).

A little about me: Early 20s, never smoke, never had children, 5'6 and 108 pounds, not very active.

I will schedule another doctors appointment, but I was just curious as to what could be causing this. The ultrasound lady said my next step would be to see a Rheumatologist, but other than that I am in the dark. I plan on finding a new practitioner since mine does not talk to me.

I was driving home from my bf's house about 45 minutes ago and I came into my neighborhood and saw someone who had hit my neighbor's parked car. The front left of his car had hit the back bumper of my neighbor on the right. The person saw me and backed up and sped off. I didn't get the tag number. I know I have seen this car before and I believe it is another one of my neighbors. I remember it because the entire right side of his car is banged up pretty bad. I'm not sure which neighbors car he hit. I could make a police report but what good would that do if I do not have the tag number? Should I wait until I see the hit and run guy come back. I do believe he lives in this neighborhood. Then I can get the tag number.

I was looking for a parking spot and I saw a different neighbor come out and look at the person's car that had been hit. I plan on telling him tomorrow what I saw. I think he may know the neighbor whose car was hit because he was parked next to him.

I don't know what else to do. I have all sorts of chemicals and sprays and I have to go through this routine constantly because the neighbors two large dogs are infested with ticks. I have two small dogs who we check frequently for fleas and ticks and they are clean. We use frontline and everything so they are safe.

However this does not protect ME and my house from them. We got the yard sprays and the upolstry sprays from the vet but with the neighbors dogs being a constant threat this is getting rediculous. What can I do? They say they are going to get rid of the dogs but no one wants them because they are not house trained or used to people. They got them as puppies and just throw food out to them every day. I feel that they are neglected but not neglected enough to be taken away. They have food, water, and a shed for shelter. They say they are tired of paying vet bills for ticks but they dont even have tick collars or frontline so I doubt the dogs are being treated

I work in a small business and when I was hired my bosses said I had to become a notary. So now I am one and a few months back I notarized a basic statement for a woman and she has since died. Now her brother wants to convert that statement to a will and I have to make an oath before a clerk in order to do so.

I work for a small office where I am the only one here. If I go to court it requires me to shut down the business and lose money. It is very inconvenient to me. I would have to go downtown and use my gas and time to do this. They offered salary reimbursement but I feel this is not worth shutting down the business or the stress.

His lawyer has been calling me constantly threatening that he'll get a subpoena. Can he do this? It was just a rudimentary document that I notarized with no required witnesses. What can I do?

I have been seeing this guy for over a month and I really started to like him. Last night we were chatting and he told me that he cheated on his gf twice 3 years ago and he wanted me to know cause he felt guilty. Now - my last relationship my bf cheated on me several times so it hit a bit close to home.. This guy seemed really great but now that he told me that I question him and I wonder if I should continue seeing him.. He told me his gf at the time never found out. He thinks i'm the best girl he has ever met in his entire life and hes like in love with me, but now I feel like since he never felt the reprocussions of cheating then perhaps he should feel it now by not being able to date me.

He said that he feels like he ruined everything by telling me but he wanted to get it off his chest. Should a guy be punished for what he did 3 years ago? I had just started picking up the pieces of my life again... What would you do? I need some advice.

I just recently went through a very bad breakup. I had put my heart and soul into this relationship and I was taken complete advantage of. It has left me extremely distraught.

I find myself being really snappy towards people. Like I take things too personally. Things that I would normally laugh off.. I now take to heart. Like someone would joke with me (and I feel its at my expense), I would feel a pressure in my head then I would snap at them. The pressure really hurts my head. I feel like they're making fun of me and mocking me. I don't like being at the brunt of a joke, or being called names jokingly, but this is things my friends have always done and I used to laugh it off. Now it makes me extremely angry and I just dont want to speak to anyone anymore. I even have trouble making new friends because they annoy me...

I don't know what this breakup did to me, but it left me really broken. How can I fix this? I don't want to feel this pressure in my head anymore...

Hello.. I work in graphic design. I do typesetting work for a ton of people for the company I work for. This week I did a yearbook job and the company charged them $500 for setting it up. It was me setting it up.. all of my work went into that book, but they dont give me a penny from it. It is a large family business (40+ ppl) and I am not part of their family.

I am the only graphic designer in the company and I make $9 an hour. If it wasn't for me they would outsource everything. I dont think its fair because they make hundreds and thousands of dollars off of my work and I dont get any of it.

I was thinking of asking for a cut of the profit. What % do you think would not offend my employers? I feel like they think all my hard work is only worth $9 an hour.. I mean thats the same as starting pay at Victorias secret here, and that work isnt even hard compared to what I do. I only have an associates degree, but I still think this is unfair. Is it okay to ask for this?

I have combination skin and i keep getting pimples on my cheeks that take forever to go away or they just keep coming back. I believe they are stressed induced by my ex boyfriend and now i am trying to undo the damage (my face was 100% clear before i met him). I am a very clean person and cleanse/tone/moisturize my skin regularly but it doesnt help. What should i expect from my first dermatologist appointment to treat this?

i need to know the major hospitals in denver and colorado springs.. my boyfriend has not called me in a while (he's never done that before unless he was hurt) and i need to call around. his family doesnt know my info so they wouldn't know how to contact me, and i dont know how to contact them. his father had my number but recently lost his phone. hes very accident prone and i am extremely worried. he doesnt answer his phone at all and has not checked his email or come online. its been a week. i am out of state right now visiting my family. please help!!

i have an asus a8v deluxe motherboard, and after owning it for two years it decides to hang on the asus screen when i first turn it on. I have not changed my systems configuration for over a year. The last time i did was when i upgraded to 3 gigs of ram (and they work fine).

when i turn on my comp it stays on the asus a8v deluxe screen where it says push del for setup or tab for bios settings. however when i push any of these keys nothing happens, and my keyboard does have power.

yesterday when this happened, i unplugged my pc from the UPS and plugged it back in and it booted up (could have been coincidence), today that did not work. after about 20 restarts it decides to start up randomly. i want to solve this so i can fix it before my computer decides to die and i flip my desk in a fit of rage ^_^. any ideas?

i would get a new motherboard but i would then upgrade to one with socket am2 which would require me to get a new gpu, cpu, and ram too.. cant afford right now :(. thanks!

Is $201.12 a month for full coverage from State Farm a good deal? Progressive quoted me for $285 a month and it doesnt even include UM and the liability is at 10/20/25. State farm would cover me 25/50/25, auto death indemnity, UM, and more.

I want to try this make up but I am a bit hesitant. I'm used to the covergirl "clean" foundation and compact (the blue ones), and i decided to try something new. I do like my cover girl but i have been breaking out a bit lately.

For cover girl i use Buff beige foundation and the Classic Ivory powder. I just put a little bit of the foundation and finish off with some powder. I dont need heavy coverage.

When i was looking at the neutrogena foundation yesterday i found that Natural Buff was the closest i found to buff beige. The powder only comes in three shades (light, medium, and dark) so i was thinking of going with light because medium looked a little too dark for me.

I found out this weekend that my fiance might be bipolar. He is a compulsive liar and never knows why (he even lies when he doesnt have to). It all kind of blew up in my face. There were signs.. but I was unsure of what was happening. I am not the type of person to just give up on someone i love.. that is why i am asking if he can be treated.

Can he ever just be the man i love and not have this other side to him? Do you or anyone you know have this disorder? How do you deal with it? I want to have a family one day.. but now i am confused. He is a paramedic and treats people on a daily basis. Is he safe to be around? I am just trying to understand.

From what i know, his symptoms are:

compulsive lying

depression

mood swings (sometimes he'll just get very distant or upset)
