counterfeit franking mark printed off your printer?
I got a dodgy looking letter today which I know came from Hong Kong originally before being posted in the UK. The franking mark is decidedly dodgy and poorly printed and looks like it came off a simple inkjet printer. I have searched the royal mail website to find out how to identify counterfeit stamps and there is NOTHING!! There is nowhere I can put in the die number to see if it's come from where it was said to come from and the Royal mail franking department seemed decidedly uninterested. Am I right in thinking that Royal mail just wants everyone to think that there is no such thing as counterfeiting of their products and prefers to put up the price of stamps in order to plug the shortfall in revenue? I was just amazed at the lack of info on the website and lack of interest from the people I spoke to.
