  • How do I get out of Yahoo Answers so that I can never post again?

I posted a comment in the form of an ode celebrating Allan’s defeat. It was funny and sensitive but because it was not a question or answer it got deleted. Within the deletion notification there was a link that pointed to the community guidelines, there I found a troublesome statement:

“Depending on the level of offense, you may risk deactivation of your Yahoo! ID and consequently everything associated with it, including email accounts, groups, posts, homepages, and profiles.”

So, I asked Yahoo Answers customer service:

“How do I get myself removed from Yahoo Answers to ensure I can never post again?”

I got an automated response thanking me for my feedback, giving no information.

So, how do I get myself removed from Yahoo Answers to ensure I can never post again?

    Thank you,

  • Search Engine Censorship?

I don’t know if this is something that only happens with Google or all search engines.

The terms/results tend to fluctuate in numbers and that is OK as web pages come and go. Using Google results I’ve been pointing out that the term United Statesian was growing at about 1,000 entries per month and at some point it reached close to 20,000 results for the query, about a month ago somebody in Google must’ve noticed this and decided to trim the numbers, it went down to 13,000 then 4,000 now there are less than a 1,000 returns for the term United Statesian. IMO this is nothing short of censorship of the web.

Clearly Google is a private company and as such capable of displaying/censoring whatever they want, however, I’m interested in finding out other terms we know they are censoring.

Do you know any other terms censored by Google?

Should there be a public search engine without an agenda?

  • Did Bin Laden save Iran?

President Bush declared North Korea, Iran and Iraq "The Axis of Evil" shortly after that the United States attacked Iraq. It is logical to assume that both Iran and North Korea the other two members of 'the axis of evil' would follow suit in short order.

However, Bin Laden and his terrorists got the U.S. military so bogged down in Iraq that the U.S. had no resources to attack either Iran or North Korea. So, did Bin Laden saved Iran?

  • Store raided and fined for displaying dangerous illegals?

N.Y. pet store raided for exotic snakes

Authorities in New York's Suffolk County have raided a pet

store and seized 19 illegal exotic snakes its owner had

used as promotional tools. Authorities seized two Burmese

pythons and 17 black racers from Michael Kotsonis' Shirley

pet store Friday, and have begun an investigation into

his use of the snakes as display items, New York Newsday

reported. "The black racers are very, very dangerous

snakes," said Suffolk Society for the Prevention of

Cruelty to Animals spokesman Ray Gross, adding that a

bite from the illegal snakes can cause serious infection.

Kotsonis not only was dealt a $250 fine by authorities

after the raid, but suffered a bite from one of his black

racer snakes while helping authorities remove the snakes

from his store, the newspaper said. The 25-year-old, who

took over control of the store in March said "It's kind of good for

    advertising"

    What were you expecting? :-)

  • It is a hot afternoon... (keep reading)?

It's a hot afternoon; you've just finished mowing the lawn and are in need of a nice, cold beer. Prior to starting your yard work, you put the beer in the freezer so it would be very cold — and refreshing — when you were ready to drink it. You take the beer from the freezer, and it is indeed very cold (but not frozen). But before drinking it, you add a little lime juice. All of a sudden, ice crystals form and work their way down through the beer. What happened?

(I'll post the answer in ten minutes, so check back after you've replied)

  • The term African American in the US?

The term African-American in the U.S. is used to refer to black people with African ancestry. Since in this case we are incorrectly using the term ‘American’ to refer to United Statesians, what should we call black people in the U.S. that ARE NOT U.S. citizens i/e a black man from Brazil in the U.S.. We can’t use the term African-American because he is not a United Statesian... if you choose to refer to him simply as ‘black’ why is it OK to do so with folks that are not United Statesians and not U. S. Citizens?

  • Why call the OCCUPATION of Iraq the war?

The US declared war against Iraq War, also known as Operation Iraqi Freedom by Res. 114, on October 16, 2002 77-23 296-133

President Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" in May of 2003 6 months later. All major operations against the Iraqi army bad ceased by that time. Since we have been engaged in the Occupation of Iraq. Why then, do United Statesians insist on calling it the Iraq war?

    Makes no sense.

  • In Yahoo e-mail, how do I move incoming e-mails from the Inbox to the Bulk folder?

The reason for wanting to do this is because in the bulk folder all images and other attachments are blocked, so I can view the content of the email without exposing my pc to something assuming they are in fact virulent. Opening the email on the Inbox may expose my pc unnecessarily and or validate my e-mail assuming it has a beacon embedded.

  • Why is there such a word as Antisemitism?

Definition: Anti-Semitism (alternatively spelled antisemitism) is hostility towards or prejudice against Jews (not, in common usage, Semites in general).

Why is there such a word? why don't we have antiNative Americans, antieuropeans, antianglos, antiidians, antichristians, antiatheists, antiitalians or any other anti- whatever. There is opposition to all of these and many more, why don't we have antipalestinian?

Is this a matter of selfagrandation in order to label anybody that is against this particular group of people?

  • Your answers give Yahoo a profile of you...?

By looking at many of the questions and more importantly the answers in this forum I can’t help but think that all of your answers (that of individual posters), adds up to your personality at it’s most basic/elementary level. Since Yahoo knows exactly who you are it occurs to me that at some time in the future they may sell your basic profile to potential employers or government agencies.

Isn’t anybody concerned about such potential use of information you willingly gave to this company and their potential ability to use it?

  • Question for United Statesians ONLY!?

As an intelligent person you must realize that the US is only one of the many nations in America, all the people in America are and think of themselves as Americans. My question is Why do you as a United Statesian call yourself an American instead of a United Statesian?

Are you ashamed of being a United Statesian and attempt to hide that fact by calling yourself an American instead?
