hello....just booked a trip to san francisco for a few days in march...my first time there...i booked a hotel on powell street in union square...decent reviews...great price and location...5 mins later i am told by someone that this area is really dangerous and unsafe at night...is it something to worry about? or does the abundance of tourists throughout the year lessen the likelihood of any serious scary activity?

i would appreciate some input, even though its too late to back out. :)

never been to san francisco...am going soon. i want to save money where i can so i plan to walk anywhere and everywhere that isn't insanely far. im no good with maps...is it a long walk to get from a union square hotel to the golden gate bridge to take that famous pic everyone takes in front of the bridge? and how about walking to fisherman's wharf? is it do-able?

Currently, if i delete a song from my computers hard drive, that is also on my ipod, then itunes software no longer detects that song on the computer when i try to play it on my computer.

I want to delete songs off my hard drive bc it slows down my computer, but will i lose all my songs on my ipod if i delete the song source?

Does that make sense? any one else have this problem?

I bought a can of paint called toasted chesnut....i tried it out on a spot on the wall and it is too dark...I dont want to waste a can of paint or spend extra to fix the problem..

Can i mix some water into the can and lighten up the color? Any suggestions on how to lighten up the paint color?

I am headed on vacation next month and am concerned about swollen feet after my loooooong flight. are there are any good exercises or stretches i can do before heading to the airport to get the blood flowing? and what kind of shoes should i wear, with or without socks?

I am headed on vacation this summer and will be sitting on airplanes between 5-8 hours at a time. Wondering what the best kind of shoes are for avoiding getting swollen feet from prolonged sitting? My feet may swell anyway, but i dont want to contribute by wearing bad shoes.

and should i wear socks, the so called "no show" sock that basically only cover ur foot and doesnt roll up to above the ankles, cutting off circulation.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE FLYING WITH AIR CANADA FROM THE U.S.??? HORROR STORIES? DELAYS? SERVICE? FLIGHTS ON TIME? I am flying from los angeles to rome, with a connecting flight in montreal (1 hour 20 minutes to make it to the second flight)....should i be worried?

I am leaving Los Angeles in the summer to Rome and making a stop in Montreal for a connecting flight. With one hour and 20 minutes between flights, I am very worried. I dont know how to tell which airport (if there is more than one) in Montreal we are stopping at by looking at my ticket but I assume it is Trudeau. Does anyone have any experience navigating the Montreal airport? Going through customs? I'm flying Air Canada if that helps.... Thanks.

Other than the cost of air and hotel, what is the priciest for tourists? Food, souvenirs, museums, transportation?

Including lunch and dinner (breakfast is included in hotel price), a few museums, a couple train rides, a couple souvenirs, any good estimates?

I have heard that you cannot take pics inside because flashes from camera can damage the art work, like the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel.
