  • What's the word? Minutes from a court hearing.?

    I'm having a brain freeze.

Can someone tell me what the proper name is for the script/minutes taken during a court hearing. I don't think it makes a difference, but it's a Judicial Review case I'm referring to. Is it a script? Transcript? Minutes???

  • Exercise for shoulder tension?

I've woke up with pain through the back of my shoulders and some really lovely cracking in my clavicle when I rotate my shoulder blades. A quick shoulder massage from the mister hasn't helped... Any thoughts on something that might help? Exercises? Stretches? A holiday? :-)

  • Why Am I Being Refused Credit?!?!?!?

    Hello

I'm 23, I live in rented accommodation and have done so for the past 18 months. I've held a respectable job with pay a little shy of £20k p.a. for 2 years. I applied for the Post Office credit card to recieve 0% commission on purchases abroad for my hols, and was surprised to see I was declined.

I got my Credit Report and there was nothing fishy there, so I subsequently applied with my own bank who I have banked with all my life, and they refused me!

I had a Credit Card in 2004 - 2007 for emergencies which I never used and the bank closed.

My father and brother, who I haven't resided with hit their credit and store cards hard.

Finally, I have an overdraft that I dip into each month by about £100 just before pay-day!

Bearing all these facts in mind, do one - or all - of these things explain why I have now been declined from two credit cards?

  • Ditch fees AND grants?

Would our University education system be fairer if we abolished fees, but also abolished all grant entitlements? Basically making it exactly the same as Key Stage 1 and 2 education.

If the money that is being spent on government issued grants was given to Universities instead of students would conditions be better or worse?

I'd love to know what everyone thinks of this little proposal; for and against!

  • TA Personal statement?

    Hi All

I'm applying for Teaching assistant posts and was hoping someone could give me some idea of the things I should include. I'm a psychology graduate, and I want to go into primary teaching when I have sufficient experience to get onto a PGCE!

  • Which is faster...?

    Hey y'all

At full speed, which would run faster, the average man/woman, or the average dog...? We're talking sprinting kinda speed, not running-away-adrenalin-fueled kinda speed...

    Fact or best guess welcome...

  • Anyone you know?

I was in a pub in Manchester today and there were 3 guys on the table next to me and my friend talking.

They looked really familiar but I just thought I probably knew them from around Uni. Then they started talking about being in a band, and how playing the Manchester Evening News Arena will be better than their last gig (didn't catch where it was)

So, this sound familiar to anyone...

    3 guys, all southern...

    1. Tall, shortish blond hair, quite

    2. Sounded like lead singer, small, chubby-ish, glasses, dark hair... Emo fringe

    3. I think he was called Rick. Sounded gay. Shaven head, built but not fat...

    Sound familiar at all?

  • Studying A Level Maths at home?

    Hello all

For many reasons there's no need to go into now, I'd really like to study A Level maths. The long and short of it is I studied it at GCSE, and was a natural, but now I'd like to go into Psychology research and it's a very desired qualification...

Anywho I can't take anymore time out of my life for education without a wage, and I'm 21 I really want to get started on ye olde career ladder...

So, I've looked into night courses and they don't exist. Can anyone tell me how to go about entering myself as a private candidate to an exam board (AQA or OCR most likely)?

    Thanks

  • What is this song?

I think the lyrics go something like "won't you come on over adalaide? Adalaiiiiide, Adalaaaaaaide" But they can't be them because lyrics search engines come up with nothing. It's been everywhere this song, it's sung by a woman, and I really wanna know what it is!

  • Issues with Flash on YouTube?

    Hi All

On some (and only some) videos on YouTube I keep getting this error message on the webpage...

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. "

I've updated many times and reinstalled many times, all I can assume is I have a setting turned off somewhere? Maybe in Norton Internet Security, or in Windows itself...

Anyone get any ideas on how I can go about fixing this? It's driving me bonkers!
