I have a pc and have always used internet explorer as my browser, but now I want to switch to chrome. I downloaded the chrome setup app onto my desktop, but when I double-click it, my computer asks what program I should open it with.

I've tried internet explorer and browsed my folder to try opening it with itself, but neither worked. How do I open the set up?

P.S. It's done this before...I've tried updating adobe to 9, but I don't know what to open it with either...

I'm a minor who just got their california driver's license. When my dad got a new car three years ago, he decided to keep his old one at my grandparent's house until I could use it; since then, it has been unregistered and non-operational.

My parents and I are trying to get it back into business so that I can use it for school next week. So far, we've gotten the day-long registration stickers. Tomorrow morning, we're reconnecting the battery, changing the oil, and getting a smog certificate so that it can be fully registered.

Are there any steps that we're missing? Any tips or requirements we might not know about (for example, I've heard that in order to get the smog certificate, the car has to be driven 75 miles)? Apparently we can do registration at a AAA (we got the temporary registration from there) and change the oil / smog certificate at a jiffy lube.

Please help!

I'm taking my driving test in a few days at the Winnetka DMV in CA (already made an appointment), and I have a few questions:

1. how long will the process take? (if i pass/fail)

2. my instructor told me I don't have to parallel park, but will need to back up in a straight line; is this true?

3. I know they'll ask about buttons like defroster and hazard lights, but it says they also ask questions during the test--what kind?

4. If I do pass, will they retake my picture, or use the one from my permit?

5. Is winnetka actually easier, and if yes, how so?

I've just started school again, and I'm still a little rusty with my math. With exponents, I know ^n would be to the power of n (obviously), ^-n would be the inverse to the nth power, and 1/n would be the value to the nth root. However, I haven't done these in a while and get a bit confused by their combination.

On that note, I have a few questions...

1. Would (x^2 + 1)^(2/3) be sqrt(x^2 + 1) or something else...?

2. What about (x^2 + 1)^(3/2)? x^2 + 1?

3. If my thinking is correct, would (x^2 + 1)^(7/2) be (x^2 + 1)^5?

Following up on that...

Would it be possible to factor:

4. (x^2 + 1)^(3/2) + (x^2 + 1)^(7/2)

or

5. (x^2 + 1)^(-2/3) + (x^2 + 1)^(-5/3)

Because I don't think it is, but I just want to check.

I'm trying to write/draw a manga or comic or whatever it turns out to be. The main character, Grace, can transform into what she thinks is a super hero and uses her powers to help others (still trying to think of powers, so good ideas welcome for that too). This character looks very different than the original with very tan skin and silver hair. As the story continues on, we go deeper into the hero's history and find that she is a mix of two entities--destruction and salvation--and that she must constantly overcome the battle within herself to defeat villains (the main one being a fallen angel). Basically, she is the chosen one, or 2nd mesiah, come to save Earth and its people. Also, I think I'm making it so that her grandmother's side of the family was salvation, her grandfather's side was destruction, and that she has no father--a virgin birth.

So, I'm trying to find a good name for this character--something that's a mix of good & evil, savior & destroyer, light & dark, cursed & blessed; but in some sort of cool origin like Japanese, African, Latin, maybe even biblical.

So please write the name ideas with what they mean and their origin if you can. And some ideas for powers would be good too. Thanks!

Ok, so I've been writing a story in the notes app (which was one of the original apps) of my iPod touch and want to transfer it onto my computer. Btw, I can't email it because I don't have my iPod touch email set up.

So, is there a way or setting that will allow me to do this from my iTunes library, or will I have to get an app or an internet download? And if I have to do so, what are the best free ones that aren't too complicated?

I really need it to be free and printable from the internet.

Does anyone have any sites that actually have that song (not just sites that send me on a wild goose chase)?
