  • Trade Lacy, Broyles for MJD, Hartline?

My team, .5PPR – QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, Flex

most likely starters for this week in bold, injuries/bye in italics

    QB: Stafford

WR: Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, T.Y. Hilton, Ryan Broyles, Jordy Nelson (bye)

RB: LeSean McCoy, Stevan Ridley, Bryce Brown (handcuff to McCoy), Eddie Lacy (bye), Steven Jackson (hurt)

TE: Heath Miller, Jermichael Finley (bye)

So should I accept the offer of MJD and Hartline for Lacy and Broyles? I'm leaning towards no since MJD seems to be a bust this year with how bad JAx offense is. Lacy could be a very solid runner, especially with how GB has been running this year, but there is always a chance he loses some carries to Franklin who did well (minus the fumble and blitz pickups).

Broyles and Hartline is basically a wash - neither will probably be starting for me unless I have even more injuries to my team.

What do you guys think? Will MJD come back and put up better point totals than he has so far this season? Should I stand pat with Lacy since he will most likely be back next week? I am sure Lacy will probably have more trade value at the very least after he comes back, especially with bye weeks coming and his already being done. Leaning towards no... agree?

  • Trade Dwayne Bowe for Hartline, Jennings?

Got a trade request offering me Brian Hartline and Greg Jennings for Dwayne Bowe.

Bowe had a horrible week with only 1 catch for 4 yards, and has been underwhelming for the season with Alex Smith throwing to him. Should I hold onto him for now, or should I unload him before he has week after week of similar results?

    My roster: (PPR)

    QB: Stafford

WR: Jordy Nelson, Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, T.Y. Hilton

RB: LeSean McCoy, Steven Jackson, Stevan Ridley, Eddie Lacy, Bryce Brown (handcuff to McCoy)

TE: Jermichael Finley, Coby Fleener, Heath Miller

With this in mind, should I make this trade, or should I stand pat and hope that Dwayne Bowe will bounce back in fantasy? If I did trade, who should I drop to free up a roster spot?

  • Trade: Eddie Lacy for Gio Bernard?

First off here are my trade options (details about my team below)

    Option 1: Keep Lacy

Option 2: Trade Lacy and get either DeAngelo Williams or Maurice Jones-Drew

Option 3: Trade Lacy and get Giovani Bernard

OK... so on to the details:

    PPR league,

    QBs: Stafford, Dalton

RBs: Shady McCoy, Steven Jackson (injured for 2-4 weeks), Eddie Lacy (injured for 2 weeks) ****Soon to be added Frank Gore (trading Starks for Gore tomorrow)

WRs: Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, Jordy Nelson, T.Y. Hilton

    TE: Jermichael Finley

    No one else worth mentioning.

Obviously I need a RB. I am #1 on the waiver wire and am picking up James Starks. Problem is that with Steven Jackson out at least 2 more weeks I still have no one to run as my RB2 in week 4 (packer's bye week). Plus no one likes starting 3 players from the same team. I am going to trade Starks immediately for Frank Gore to solve that problem, but I have a couple of other outstanding trade offers involving Lacy as listed above. Which do you think is the best course to follow?

Personally I am leaning towards keeping Lacy or trading him for Gio Bernard. I think this trade partner might require a wide receiver swap to sweeten the deal for her (she is a big Gio fan) - If I did need to throw in a WR swap, which would you guys suggest swapping to sweeten the deal for her a little? her WRs are Eric Decker, Julian Edelman, Vincent Brown, Alshon Jeffrey, Emanuel Sanders. Thoughts?

  • Liberals, how do we survive the debt/deficit crisis?

The problem that I am talking about is not a political one, it is a mathematical one. It doesn't matter what party is in power- the big spending of our government is past the point where it is fixable. [As a side note, this is all the tea party is about- nothing more than getting the government's spending under control. Personally I don't see anything extreme about it, but calling them extremists only furthers the divide between sides. Note quite as bad as the disgusting "tea bagger" term that gets used so often... just disgusting. But I digress] This is basically what I am talking about - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-11-06/it-doesnt... - give it a quick read. Basically our mandatory spending (entitlements) and interest on the debt are more than the total tax revenue that the government brings in. Even if you cut ALL discretionary spending (armed forces, EPA, FBI, etc etc etc) we are still 250 billion in the red.

Now you can make the argument all you need to do is increase tax revenue, but since WWII tax revenue has "averaged 17.7% of GDP in a very tight range. The low has been 14.4% of GDP, and the high has been 20.6% of GDP." That is with a wide range of tax rates, so you can see that the tax revenue will generally be ~15-20% of GDP regardless of tax rates. You can increase revenue if you increase overall GDP, but increasing tax rates during a recession is not going to accomplish that. So to me, the bottom line is that we can't tax our way out of the problem and we can't cut our way out of the problem. Entitlements are getting bigger with Obamacare about to hit the books, and the country is completely unwilling to make any reforms (cuts) to entitlements. Take politics out of it- the debt and deficits are a BIG problem when you look at it mathematically.

  • Start Peyton Manning, Josh Freeman, or Andy Dalton?

Just traded Leshoure for Manning this week. I am a Bengals fan and I don't like to root against my own team for fantasy haha. Also Cincinnati has given up 5th fewest to QBs the past 5 weeks. Josh Freeman has a great matchup against Oakland and has been on fire lately. So it's mostly up between Manning or Freeman, but Dalton is also an option. Who do you think I should start and why?

    Rest of my team is:

WR: AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, Colston (flex)

    RB: LeSean McCoy, Doug Martin

TE: Martellus Bennett (Vernon Davis on bye)

  • What exactly are the tax breaks that Obama talks about that encourage moving jobs overseas?

I have heard him mention them a number of times and did some research but can't figure out exactly what he is referring to.

  • Should I pick up Baltimore or Miami defense for fantasy for the rest of the year?

Both are free agents right now, and I have Seattle defense which has bye week in week 11. Week 11 for Baltimore is Sunday night game @Steelers. Week 11 for Miami is Thursday night game @Buffalo Bills. With Ravens D older and just had some serious injuries, and Miami has had some good defensive showings the last couple weeks and has some good matchups into the playoffs (Jac 15, Buf 16) I am kind of leaning towards Miami. Anyone have any suggestions?
