I found a cake stand that I like but my guy can't rap his head around why one is needed. If you don't have one what does the bakery do with the cake? Do they just put the cardboard base on the table?

How long before the wedding should you buy your wedding dress? We are having a vow renewal ceremony on June 13, 2009 and I was wondering when I should start dress shopping.

I have heard that newlyweds can get special treatment. Has anyone heard of this, or know that types of things they are offered?

I was jogging yesterday and fell really bad on the sidewalk, I got really banged up and in the process hurtvmy ring (scratched the underside, and prongs). I feel really bad about it, my guy kept reminding me to be careful with it, but I of course didn't mean to do it. I haven't even had it a month and we have insurance on it, so I hope it won't cost anything to get it fixed.

Has anyone else damaged their ring? Was it easily fixed? How did you feel?

I'm going to be near the University of Southern California on Thursday and need something to do for a few ours. Is there any museums or events going on then that I can see. Any ideas are appreciated.

I have ordered an arrangement for a party but the party has been switched to the next day. Will it be ok if I keep it refrigerated over night or should I try and change the order?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 3 years, and I can't stop thinking about getting married. I really want him to ask me to marry him and I get my hopes up when we do romantic things that that he will pop the question but it hasn't happened. He says he want to marry me and that we will someday, but I'm impatient. He is almost 34, has never been married and has no kids, I don't know why he doesn't feel any urgency to get married.

I worked for a company for a two week trial period in 2007, and at the end of the trial period they did not offer me the job. They paid me $461.52 for the work I did and did not withhold any income tax. However, instead of sending me a W-2, they sent me a 1099-MISC form, with $461.52 entered in box 7 (Nonemployee compensation). Does anyone know where on form 1040, or on which Schedule, I should report this income? Should they even have sent me form 1099-MISC, because I thought that they are only meant to report payments of $600 or more in box 7?

I don't have any barley would it be ok to make this recipe without it or do I need have it in there?
