I own a 2006 cobalt ss. Its a 5 speed. Here's my problem.

When I put it into neutral when coasting, the RPM's increase to match the speed as if I was in gear. For instance if I'm goin down hill in neutral, I'll be pulling over 2 thousand RPM's. This didn't use to happen. It use to average about 800 to 1100 RPM's. I thought maybe it was the TPS but I'm not sure. I took the throttle body off and cleaned the gunk out of it but it didn't fix my problem. I had this problem when I owned an 01 mustang gt. All i did to fix that problem was take off the air sensor hose and clean it out then I never had that problem again. Idk if that's the problem or not.

Also if I'm coming to a stop and put it in neutral, my RPM's will drop real low (down to 500) and then shoot back up. What is causing these problems? Why do my RPM's increase with speed while in neutral and why do they drop real low when braking to a stop in neutral? I just can't figure it out. I'm really hoping its not my TPS bc I read the only way to replace my TPS on an 06 cobalt ss is to replace the throttle body and I'm not mr money bags, hence the reason I have a cobalt instead of a mustang lol.

Oh one last thing, when I'm sitting at a stop, my car pulls normal RPM's (1000). I'm not a mechanic. I'm good with mechanics bc I easily learn anything mechanical. Mechanics make sense to me but still I don't know a whole lot about cars so any info will help me a lot. Thanks

ok i have a question about my web orders..on my orders it states that my EDD is april 1st 2011 and my EDA (to my new unit) is may 1st 2011..i wanna check out and pcs on march 1st, use my leave and then report in to my next unit on april 1st or 2nd..can I do that?? or do i actually have to wait til april to pcs? ive been told that web orders use to never give 30 days between the EDD and EDA..so is this like block leave? i just wanna leave this island a month earlier and go get my wife so we can go to to my next unit together..ive been to the pcs class but that was an epic fail!!! and my command wont answer questions

P.S is the EDD a no earlier than date and the EDA a no later than date or is that day i have to leave island? im just confused about the dates...all i wanna do is pcs march 1st and report in april 1st..

i just received unaccompanied orders from okinawa to california..my wife already lives in the states..we got married in may and our info was entered into ipac in july..im guessing thats why i got unaccompanied orders..my question is how can i get them changed to accompanied so my wife can move with me when i move..i have 6 months till i leave

I was wondering if there was any way to get my orders cut early by 6 months? im stationed in okinawa, Japan and ive been here for 13 months. Im in a non deployable unit and im married..my biggest reason for wanting my orders cut is so I can be with my wife instead of waiting another 11 months...a while back everyones orders were being cut early but then they stopped..I wanna know who I have to contact to have my orders cut and what I have to do..also what are the chances of my orders being cut? any info will be appreciated

ok im in the marine corps and i wanna get a tattoo on my right forearm, like on top of the bone, and i need to know if its allowed..its gonna say OFPFL..can i get in trouble for that? like kicked out? cause i dont want trouble, i just want that tat on that arm...it would be very noticeable when saluting
