Archangel

First a little background. I am not for sure getting a tattoo. I am simply trying to find something that I could love being of my forearm forever. Also, I am a Christian. I want to create a nautical and old English sounding phrase that integrates storms(danger), faith, courage, and security. So far this is my best draft that I created:

"I hold dear intentions to sail toward harm,

yet it is naught mine eyes that bode

guidance as I brave the storms."

I want it to sound from the 1700's as much as possbile. Try to imagine it here with me. It would be on my inner right forearm, that phrase will be on some old paper or scroll. Closer to my elbow will be a compass, with the actual 8 pointed nautical star. There will be some rope wrapping around and there will be small choppy waves in the background. Thoughts, suggestion? Shoot me some help please!

I'm going to get very picky with you guys here. I'm trying to find a folk like band like Eluveitie or Ensiferum, but without the hardcore vocals. I like the heavy guitars, but I cant understand what anybody is saying. I really enjoy the classic instruments integrated into the more rock and guitar feel.

Like there, the music is phenominal, but the vocals are rather awful for my taste. I dont mind shouting either, like i really enjoy the parallax II by between the buried and me. I just can't do the growling I guess.

I'm also looking for lighter folk bands as well, but I dont know if thats exactly up your alley or not. I;m trying to find more bands like this local Cantiga band that isn't exactly local to me.

So yeah, I guess the bottom line is I'm looking for any sort of bands that use classic instruments, like violins, fiddles, tin whistles, bagpipes, mandolas, whatever, but bands that don't have hard to understand growling lyrics.

Ok, I suppose it's safe to assume that you wouldn't be here unless you thought you might have the answer. In order for that to be true, you must have seen the movie. So, no spoiler surprises here I hope.

Anyhow, my main question relates to the Hulk.

Why is it that the Hulk attacked the Avengers the first time he turned, but not the second?

I have 3 thoughts so far. One, is that is has been a year (I believe) since the Hulk hulked out. So he might have a lot of built up anger since he's been caged, and can't control it when he attacks Black Widow and Thor.

Also, could it have been that because Bruce didn't summon the Hulk, that he never originally had control in the first place? There was that explosion or something that pretty much called out the Hulk.

Fourthly, could he have been more pissed off that usual, because all of the teammates were coming out with their secrets? Everybody was letting everyone have at it and then Bruce grabbed that scepter. So I guess that two questions, was he also under some type of control by Loki or something?

It is a song from the Disney movie Tangled. Say what you want, yeah I watched the movie, and liked it alot. Well now that I lost some masculinity, I need some help. Im trying to find music that is similar to this song. If you don't have the two minutes to listen to the whole song, skip to about 1:10 when it starts getting catchy. If you asked me, it sounds like some type of medieval or celtic music or something. Are there any bands out there that have music similar to this? I'm really trying to find something like that, I don't care if it's instrumental or not. I just really don't know where to look.

I'm trying to find groups or bands that play music that sounds similar to this. I'm looking for bands that are known for using flutes, fiddles, violins, accordions, and similar instruments. If you can give me any, I would be grateful

I bought spray on SEI tumble dye. I want to dye my gloves, but I only want to dye the side with the knuckles on it. The palms are a synthetic leather and I would like to know how to protect the palm from getting dyed. Is there some type of tape or coating the prevents a certain area from getting dyed?

I found these Oakley Pilot gloves at my gun show today for an awesome price, but they're the desert tan color. Now I'm going to be using these gloves primarily for shooting, airsoft, and paintball, so I'd rather not tamper with the durability and flexibility of the gloves. The palms are entirely leather and the top has some leather to it. I'm not too concerned if the color changes on the leather, I just need to know if it will get stiff, or crack or something not so good.

I'm going from the factory tan to an olive/sage with Rit dye. Is it possible, or should I get leather dye, or just leave it before I screw it up? Thanks all.

I saw a helmet at a loading screen, and I know for a fact that is is a unique or rare item. It looks like a iron helmet or a steel helmet, but it isn't. It has two horn that go down toward the front by the jaw. I would saw it looks like a perfect mixture between the Helmet of Yngor and a regular steel helmet. Have you seen this too, or do you know what it is exactly?

Anyhow, I saw the new Twilight with my girlfriend the other night, and it I won't act like it was all that terrible, but anyhow, I had a thought. I'm not crazy about Jacob in the movie, so I side with Edward in that whole team whoever crap. But I was thinking, how many people prefer what faction. I mean in the broader, non-Twilight sense. Just in a manner of folk lore and what have you.

This is how I see the goods and the bads of each:

Vamps ( the ones who actually bite people)

Good:

Have this classy, and civilized live style (usually)

Are in control of their beyond human abilites

Have charming capabilities that usually somehow tie into something sexual, woohoo

Umm, they're sexy....?

Immortal (Duh)

Keen senses and superhuman whatever

Usually get stronger with age, in the cases I've read

Bad:

Gotta be nocturnal

Must feed to stay awesome

Have more allergies: garlic and wood, depending on the context

Always cold, I hate being cold

Wolfies (the cool, two legged ones)

Good:

Tight-knit family where everyone looks out for the tribe

This connection with Nature and their feral side

The ability to "turn off" their freakish side, so they can blend in

Warm and fuzzy with a hint of not so cuddly (not a real defense, just adding some fun)

Tough and wild monsters

Bad:

Often times, are unaware of their actions

Don't always have their power at the ready, gotta get turned on first

Weakness is silver, which is a rather valuable material if you ask me

If you got a body like me, you gotta get naked after you've had your fun

I'm sure I've forgot importantness, but I think you got the idea. If somebody else out there asked me, I would say werewolf. Its a tough call for me, but wolves are one of my favorite animals, and I'm a nature freak. Not a tree hugger, but I just love the woods and nature and all, and I'd love to tap that. Tap nature, not wolves..... So gimme some of your thoughts, and bash everybody elses. I hope to see some good answers and get some heated heartfelt responses! Game on

There is honestly no good camouflage style and color for where I live, during this time of year. I want to make my own. Is it possible to dye camouflage. Say take a light color, like the desert tan from the Gulf War, and can I dye it a darker brown. I mean, I know I can, but how would it turn out? Since camo has multicolors in the fabric, would each color change individually and equally, or would they all just fade towards a more common color, whatever the dye is. I've dyed solids before, and thats simple, so any help would be great. Thanks all!

Im looking into buying a CVA kentucky percussion pistol kit, or a traditions kentucky (i think theyre the same thing?). This particular pistol comes with brass pieces, but honestly, i dont exactly like the brass here. I like brass for lots of things, just not here. Now im not exactly sure if its actually brass, or if just brass finished, but I am wondering if there is a way i can make this into a silver-like color. Eventually i will be antiquing the silver look, so i am not worried about it being shiny or looking clean, but i dont simply want to paint it. i dont feel painting this would reach my desired look.

I plugged in my mp3 player ( some type of sony if that helps) and im only getting music out of the front 2 speakers and the subwoofer. In game i get sound in all 5 speakers. Is there some setting in either my mp3 or my xbox, because I'm pretty sure my old iPod used to play through all of them?

I have a kershaw military boot knife that comes with a kydex sheath. What are some types of clips that i can use so i can simply attach this to my belt? I'm not sure if you have this same knife, but im sure any type of clip would work with this knife. It came with a ton of nylon cords to customize where you want to carry it, but i just need a clip. Maybe a money clip, maybe a teklok, I don't know!? If it helps anyone understand, there are 2 slots that run perpendicular to the sheath, so nylon could be fed parallel to the sheath, so i could easily use a clip for either vertical or horizontal, but i just dont know what sturdy clip I need. I like somewhat hardcore music that doesnt just scream obnoxiously where you cant understand it. im more than ok when they yell or shout, but its the constant screaming that i dont exatly like. for example, i like trivium a lot, but it tends to be the songs that dont just scream. what are some rock or heavy metal or even emo-ish bands that are like this?

Im looking for more stuff like atreyu, escape the fate, five finger death punch, all that remains, rise against, stone sour, slipknot. that kinda stuff.

I am interested in taking a martial arts class, but I'm not quite sure which one. I find styles that deal with the spirit, highly intriguing. I'm not sure if this is like ai ki do, or tai chi, or what. I also want some ideas as to what's out there that tends to be aggressive. I just need ideas on something calm and serene, or aggressive and practical, not necessarily both. If you can think of a more strike based art, I'd rather avoid kicks as much as possible, as this doesn't exactly suit my style.

I'm interested in buying a SW1911 (they suit me perfectly!), and I have some great ideas of what I plan on adding to it. Pertaining to this question, I'm interested in placing a compensator on it. I'm not sure if any one owns a Smith and Wesson or knows anything about them, but their 1911's feature something called a guide rod. Now the guide rod does not move with the recoil of the slide (I think?), so I am wondering if will be possible to use a compensator with this gizmo. If not, can I simply take out the guide rod and still use the gun?

I rented halo 3 back when it came out, and i didnt have xbox live, so i got as many achievements as i could. i found all the skulls, terminals, and i beat the game on normal. With ODST just coming out not too long ago, i rented that, and when i popped in the multiplayer disc, i hardly had any armor. i lost my hayabusa face, body, and shoulders, as well as my scout shoulders. i still have all the achievements for the "were in for some chop" and the skulls too. It didnt bother me all that much, but i got hooked again and decided to go out and buy Halo 3. When i was going to play the campaign, it said i never even started. i dont have any of the levels or skulls unlocked, and i have the achievement for beating it on normal. Why am i losing all this stuff?

Ok, im going mad over this whole situation. i downloaded a zip file online, it was a screen saver. i couldnt figure out how to open the zip file, so i tried opening the zip with a different progam on accident. i accidently tried opening it with windows explorer. now, all of my zip files try to open using windows explorer, and i never can do anything about it. i have absolutely no idea what zip files originally use to open, and i have no clue as to where i can find it. please, how do i set the original default program back to what it is supposed to be for zip files?
