  • Why can't I get into anything lately?

I play guitar, skateboard, play video games, sing, and tons of other stuff, but lately I've had no motivation to do anything. I think it's because I put most of my time into practicing for a big gig I had with my band last week. Now I just don't want to do anything. I'm just liking the quiet of my mind right now, staring at the ceiling and just not thinking. Any advice on motivation? Thanks.

  • *CHIROPRACTORS ONLY* If I stop cracking my neck and knuckles will they go back to normal?

Hi there! So I've been cracking my knuckles since I was 12 years old (16 now) and I've been cracking my neck for almost a year. I know it's bad for me, and want to stop. My knuckles now crack super easy, and same with my neck, they aren't tight and hard to crack like they originally were. Will this go away over time if I stop doing it? Chiropractors only preferred please.

  • How the hell do teachers expect us to get enough sleep?

To start this off, I have been in the Highest Honors there are since the beginning of Junior High, and am now half way through High School, still on the Highest Honors. My question is, how the hell do teachers expect us to study minimum 2 hours per night, get a part time job, get one hour of physical activity a day, and get minimum 8 hours sleep? There is not enough time for any of this. It pisses me off when teachers laugh and chuckle about how "easy" it is. Also, something else that aggravates me is that they give us all this homework, yet they can't have my test marked until 2 weeks after the test was given out? Come on now! They have time to mark and all that **** during school hours, and then WAY more time than students do after school to do work, have fun, etc. Why is this happening? How is this kind of **** allowed? Waking up at 6:30am every morning is no fun, and neither is studying and going to work all night then getting 5-6 hours sleep max. What are your thoughts?

  • How do I talk to my friend after their mom passed away?

So this week I found out that one of my best friend's mother died over the weekend, and he won't be back to school for a while. He's a really cool guy, super generous, and loves to see people smile. Just wondering, would it be a good idea to say condolences and all that as soon as I see him again, or wait for a while for him to get back into the normal swing of things? I want to be here for the guy as much as possible, cause I know he'd do the same for anybody else.

  • Is it a good idea to be a secret admirer?

Hey there. So, there is this really nice girl in my classes that I really like, but she's super shy. I figured a good idea would be to slip a note into her locker saying "You're very pretty" or something along those lines. I'm curious as to what her reaction would be. Would she be happy, excited, or pissed off. If she likes it, I might keep doing it every now and then and begin talking to her more and more without letting her know it's me giving her those notes. Thoughts?

  • How do I talk to this girl?

So, there is this girl in my class that I honestly really like. I've never had feelings for really any other girls before, but for whatever reason the first time I saw her I really liked her. She's really nice, polite, but also extremely shy. I was going to just start of by telling her in the hall some day that I think she's pretty, but a girl I know said one time that girls don't like when their appearance is commented on unless they ask? I find this kinda weird because in school they always encourage us to be kind to each other, and in a class I took last year they said it's really kind to tell a girl she is pretty? Yesterday a friend of mine told one of his friends that she is beautiful and she was really happy. Any advice, especially for approaching a girl that is very shy?

  • What happens if you fall on a broken tailbone?

Hey there. I'm a 15 year old male and I broke my tailbone skateboarding 3 weeks ago. There is barely any pain left, and was wondering if I was to fall on this again before it's fully healed, what would happen? I want to go back to skateboarding but I'm worried that I'll hurt it even more.

  • Can I skateboard with a broken tailbone? *DOCTORS ONLY*?

So I broke my tailbone 3 weeks ago, and at this point the pain is pretty much gone. I m a 15 year old guy, and I ve been dying to go skateboard. Only problem is, I keep hearing "But you might fall back on your tailbone!". First of all, I m curious as to what could happen. Second, if I were to buy a pad that protects my tailbone, could I skateboard while it s broken? If I fell on my tailbone with that pad on, would it affect me, or would I be just fine? Doctors only please. Thanks!

  • Is it okay to miss a workout day if you re doing some other physical activity?

I m in the first month of the P90 program and I have missed just about a week worth of days..... However, all of those days except for one I was skateboarding for at least 2 hours on each day. Is it okay to miss those days when I am skateboarding on the missed days? Normally I am pretty exhausted from skating all day.

  • Why are people so overly sensitive?

I swear to God some people bring this "respect" thing to a level as if I have to treat them like some kind of God. It is straight up annoying. For example, I was borrowing someone's phone, and the person on the other line only had 3 minutes till they went back to lunch break. I talked for a minute and 30 seconds and the person who lent me their phone was pestering me saying "I'm not gonna have time for this blah blah blah" so I said "I better give this phone back, so and so is being a nutcase and giving me dirty looks" then I am given this lecture about how I am disrespectful and degrading. Yet they don't give a **** about saying stuff about me! Why are people like this? It's like people purposely look for every chance they can possibly find to make someone feel like ****. When someone says something stupid to me like "You're a nerd" or "asshole" in the hallways at school, I just say "Rather be a nerd than someone who can't pass an easy math test" or "I know you are". People throw insults around, and I rarely directly insult people. I don't bully anyone, I'm not that type of person. So why are people so over-sensitive? Because honestly it is a huge pain in the ***.

  • Should I switch to being vegan after hearing this about red meat?

I heard today that glycotoxins are a huge cause of Alzheimer's and dementia, which mainly comes from well done meat. I eat all of my meat well done, so I decided to sit down and read into this. I'm not going to go into detail, but honestly I do not know what to think. Should I try to switch to vegan, even for a week to see how I like it? Some things I probably wouldn't give up is cheese and milk, mainly because I use milk to make my delicious fruit smoothies and cheese just seems super important to me. What are some tips on trying a vegan lifestyle, and should I do it? All help appreciated.

    Thanks! ^_^

  • Wisdom teeth extraction problems?

So I got my wisdom teeth out on Thursday, and the stitches on the bottom left are oozing blood ever since. I bit down on gauze plenty of times for 45 minutes, and even a teabag. However it just won't stop. My saliva is pinkish red from it, and this morning I woke up to a large pool of dried blood and blood streaking down my face. Where the stitches are is really sore. I can't tell if it is my breath or from the surgery that smells horrible, and I constantly have a bad taste (mostly a bloody taste) in my mouth. Am I at risk for dry socket? I haven't been doing anything the dentist told me not to do.

  • Should I get a second opinion on my wisdom teeth?

So a few months ago my dentist suggest that my twin brother and I have our wisdom teeth removed. I for one believe he is full of ****, because in the pictures he points to them and says "They are extremely close together and will definitely cause many health problems in the future" when really the look perfectly fine to me. I don't believe this crock of **** about how "In my future I will experience pain that could make me go into shock, and will result in the death of many of my teeth". My father never had his wisdom teeth out, and he is perfectly fine. My mother did, and hers are fine as well. However I refuse to believe this until I get a second opinion, because all I see is a bull **** scam to grab money out of my parent's pockets. Will another dentist tell me the truth about my teeth? Also, is it worth the risk of possible death or severe nerve damage, just to remove some teeth? I am frightened to get them out because I constantly hear "Teen dies of dentist giving too much anesthetic" or "Teen goes into a coma and passes away from overdose of pain medication from dentists". Please, let me know. I don't want to take risks that may not even be worth taking.

  • How to tell if I have cartilage damage?

Hey there. So I am 15, and I skateboard. Recently the back of my knees have started hurting. It's not the front of the knees, just the back where your leg bends. My dad said "Oh you better stop for a week cause you might have cartilage damage". I thought this was pretty weird because it just feels like I pulled a muscle, which I believe could have occurred the day prior to the pain in gym class when we were doing warm-up stretches. Please let me know if there is a way to tell if it is cartilage damage!

    Thanks!

  • My leopard gecko is drinking tons of water?

Lately my leopard gecko named Rocky has been chugging down water overnight like he hasn't drank water in years! Normally he drinks on a regular basis and I refill his bowl once every 3-4 days, but now I have to refill it every single night. He's also not really coming out as much as he was before. Normally he comes out and explores his tank, plays around, and for some reason tries to climb the glass lol. My question is, is this normal? He's about 10 years old. He's also fairly slow moving because years ago he fell on to the hard wood floor when we had him out exploring. He jumped off of my mom's arm for no apparent reason and fell on his back. The vet said he was fine, but ever since he moves slower than he did before. Either that or he is just super lazy, which could be the case since he sleeps like 14 hours a day and then runs around for the rest of the time he's awake. Please help, I've had Rocky for a very long time and I really do not want him to get sick/die!

    Thanks

  • Are exercise bikes worth it?

Hey there! So I m a 15 year old guy that ways 200 pounds. I am roughly 5 8, so yeah, I need to lose a bit of weight lol. I can t afford to go to a gym because it costs $50 a month and you have to stay on that for a year. I do not have $600 to spend on a gym. So I figured an exercise bike would be a good idea. For those of you wondering, yes, I am making changes to my food choices. No more pop or **** like that, and the correct amount of water. Smoothies every morning with breakfast with some whole wheat cereals and on other days some toast. Anyways, I need to know if the exercise bikes are worth the money. I can just place it in front of my TV in my basement and bike away, so I figure they d be pretty good. A treadmill will not fit down there. If you guys can tell me, I will appreciate it! Thanks!

  • Best way to lose weight healthily?

Hey there. To begin off, I am a 200 pound teenager, or at least that is what I was 3 months ago, and I hate it! I am constantly embarrassed at myself for being overweight, and I feel uncomfortable. I've decided that after Christmas I plan to use my Christmas money to go to the gym. My problem is, I do not know some important details.

How many days a week should I go to the week? I was thinking maybe everyday (except Tuesdays cause I have extra-curricular activities to do) after school. So if that is okay, how long should I go for? As far as I've known so far, 1 1/2 to 2 hours is the normal. but I'd just like to be sure. Also, is there a specific way I should work out? Maybe treadmill/bike for a day, and other activities such as swimming for another day, etc?

Another very important thing I need to know is if it is healthy to have a breakfast smoothie diet? As in, instead of a medium sized breakfast of some slices of toast and a fruit breakfast smoothie? Cause I've been doing this for 5 months already, but I'm not sure if it's the best thing I should do. Perhaps just the smoothie would be enough for breakfast? Also, should I stop drinking two of these smoothies a day? I'll leave my smoothie recipe below. Thank you guys so much for any help you give, I really appreciate it!

    3-4 strawberries

    a handful of blueberries

    a whole banana

2 small round cups of yogurt

Rest of smoothie is milk to fill it

    Thanks a bunch guys! ^_^

  • How do I slide my foot up when I try to ollie?

I've been trying to learn how to ollie for 3 months. I am so sick and tired of not being able to slide up my foot. I can pop the tail and get about 2 inches of air, but my foot just won't slide. I am turning my foot the right way and pushing out, but it's like my feet are glued to the griptape. And I do not want any answers like "I am having the same problem" or just "keep trying and you'll get it". I really just want someone to straight up tell me why my foot is getting stuck, I would VERY greatly appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

  • Please rate my Hazy Flame Fire Kings deck (Yugioh)?

I built a variant of Fire Kings and Hazy Flames mixed together called Hazy Kings. I can't afford a really expensive deck so this is all I have. Its doing pretty well, I got 2nd place, and 3rd place twice on three online tournaments. I find it works pretty well for me and I plan to bring it to the regionals in September. I really like the Hazy Kings archetype and plan to stay with it for a while. So please, no hate and I don't want any answers from jerks that say "Get a life" when they don't have one themselves cause they're online telling people to get a life. Please rate this deck out of 10. The link to the picture is below.

    Thanks,

    Nick

  • This creepy guy found out where I live?

This guy that likes a Facebook page me and my brother own some how found out the place where I live. I have NO IDEA how. We have never revealed our locations or anything else like this to him or anyone else on the page. Not even our names. We came up with admin tags. But some weird way he found where we live. He said "I am the kind of guy who can make people tell". I kept asking him how he knew this and I threw him off course by saying I moved away and that was just my old town where I was born. So now he thinks I live in a whole different province. What should I do? He has asked other things like what my real name is (which I certainly would never give out!). I don't know what to do! I showed my parents the conversation and they have no clue how he could either. Being a tech geek myself I believe that he may have uploaded a virus using a video game site we both play on or possibly found my IP address through a Facebook post on our page. I am kind of scared and have no idea what to do in this situation. Please help and tell me what I could do!
