To make a long story short, I became homeless overnight after my husband left me. Something I said would never happen to me. I moved from place to place with strangers and decided to move in with my sister for a few days during that summer because it was like 200 degrees and I had been staying with my brother and he had no air conditioner. I thought her and I were close because she had been having problems in her marriage and my husband (now ex) had let her go out with us and we involved her in a lot of the things that we did. Anyway, when I moved into her house she treated me like a complete stranger. I was absolutely stunned. She never offered me any food, wouldn't talk to me, was snappy toward me and etc. It was clear she didn't want me there. I was so hurt. It has been over 4 yrs. that this happened and I have remarried and am happy now. I can't get over how she did me. I feel bitter toward her and sometimes hate her. She acts as if nothing ever happened. How can I get past this?

Why is it that we can sue drug companies for making a drug that harms us, and cigarette companies for making a product that gives us lung diseases, but we can't sue the alcohol companies? These companies that distribute alcohol, make a product that causes us much more harm than the others. We get cirrosus (spelling) liver, pancreitis, and whatever else and we consume a product that makes us become addictive to it and do stupid things that in turn get us in serious criminal trouble and even cause some of us to kill others from its use. This product causes marriages and families to break up, causes fatal car accidents, mishaps at work and loss of work, legal problems, just to name a few. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? People may say, just don't drink it, but some of us have that addictive gene in us and when we take that 1st drink, we are addicted.

I like to see how much money I can save. I love getting things on sale and disiplining myself from buying things that I don't need as opposed to things I need. I am very,very frugal and if there is a way to stretch a dollar, I know about it. I like to see just how much I can get for my money. I hate to spend money, but I love to save. I would like your ideas and thoughts on saving money and stretching the budget. Please list at least 10 things you do to save.

I divorced my husband 12 yrs ago and my son was devastated. My husband set out to get revenge on me by making me pay child support and trying to take my son from me and having me put in jail. He put me and my son thru hell. My son is now 24 and It still affects him to this day. I try to pretend that I am ok for his sake but I feel angry, bitter and depressed over it. How can I make up to my son and make things better for him and let him know how sorry I am for him having to go thru all of this?

Does anyone have a Steve & Barry's Clothing Store in your area? If so, please tell me the state you live in that has the stores.

I sometimes save important emails and put them in folders in which I name such as "My Stuff" or "Important Things" My question is how do I delete these folders when I no longer need them. I can't see anywhere that it tells me how to delete them.

I see so many people getting Social Security for disabilitys and they are still working 40 hrs. a week, just like before. They don't appear to have anything wrong with them. How do they qualify for disability if they can still work? People around here get it like handing out candy or ice cream. No wonder our budget is in deficit!

I asked a question earlier about how to pay a loan off earlier. I think some of you misunderstood my question. I am not in debt over my head and I have money set aside for emergencies. I only wanted to know the best way to get a loan paid off quicker. By making regular monthly payments with a couple extra payments a year, or by just making payments for about double the payment or what. My loan is $350.00 and I have about $700.00 a month to put on it. How is the best way to apply it? Do I need to make payments ahead, such as paying the $350.00 ahead of time, or do I need to pay $700.00 a month, or just make the regular payment and send in extra money here and there? Hope this is not too complicated. Anyway, thanks for the answers everyone!

I just purchased some property with a high interest rate because of bad credit. I am paying almost twice the amount of the payment a month. What is the best way to get this loan paid off quicker and cut some of the interest off? Is it best to make my regular payments and add a few extra payments a year? Or is it best to just pay a larger amount every month? Or is it best to do both? What is the best way for me to apply these payments to my advantage? I am currently paying about double my regular monthly payment per month, but I have a little more money to invest in it. How should I do it?

It's obvious the girl is mentally sick. It's no laughing matter. I can't beleive that the hair salon couldn't wait for her to get out the door before they were already scheming a way to make money off of her. Thats real concern if you ask me. Supose she had left there and committed suicide? Would they be trying to auction off the weapon or the pills she overdosed on. I have struggled with depression for years and it's really not funny.Where is the compassion and concern for people anymore? It's all about making a buck, no matter who it hurts or how it;s done. She has kids that someday will see this stuff about their Mom and it's going to affect them. Lets forget about the monetary part and concentrate on helping this girl and her family. She has a right to be depressed just like anyone else and she has feelings like anyone else. Give her a break. Take her serious and support her and see how that works. Sorry, but all of this hair stuff makes me sick, It's all about money at any cost!
