I just graduated Airborne and have heard that the 82nd is deploying in August. Is it possible for someone in the NG to volunteer to deploy with them?

I have read and enjoyed "The Conservative's Handbook" by Phil Valentine but as always, I'd like to see what the other side believes. This was a great book that goes issue by issue and I have been unable to find a similar book for the liberal mind.

I'm looking for recent/popular American movies, such as "No Country for Old Men", "Juno", etc, dubbed in Arabic.

Or any other places for Arabic DVDs you may know of. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know there are lots of places to order the Qur'an and other religious materials for free online, but I have been unable to find it in Arabic. I want to be able to order the actual book, not just read it online.

Particularly for Arabic. The CDs are great but it would really help if I could see how the words are spelled.

This was the big theme after 9/11. Now it seems like the vast majority of Americans have already put 9/11 in the history books and have moved on. Did I miss something?

And he is for the Iraq war and the troop surge. This sounds like what a lot of you have been waiting for. A president who's own child is in the military and fighting in the war.

THE DRAFT IS NOT COMING BACK! One congressman wants the draft back. For one, this will never get passed. And if it did, the President would vito it right away. He is one of the few people that want a draft. It will take something like World War III to bring the draft back. So will you stop complaining or giving us your "opinion" that the draft is coming back? The draft is NOT coming back, period.

It is a story about a man who made a bet with someone that he could stay in solitary confinement(no contact with any other person) for 20 years or something like that. He would have access to anything he wanted as far as material objects, and then on the last day of the bet he walked out because he didn't want the money.

Does anyone know the name of this story and who wrote it?

I am interested in learning a new language, particularly Arabic, Spanish or Korean. But If I got some really good material on any one language I would try it out.

I am interested in learning Arabic, Spanish and Korean. I have already started studying Arabic and would like to begin studying Spanish as well. These languages seem to be very different so I don't think I would get them mixed up. Do you think this is counter-productive?

9/11 and the JFK assassination are both tainted by false videos. The movie JFK was not supposed to be meant as fact and changed a lot about what happened. They have proved over and over again that it was very possible for Lee Harvey Oswald to be the lone shooter and all the time frames work out.

All the 9/11 conspiracy theories have been easily disproved by people who actually know what they are talking about. Unfortunately their is a video out that people believe without doing any research on their own. Not only is the video full of speculation and lacking facts, it has some flat out lies. And more quotes taken out of context than a Micheal Moore film.

It really amazes me. JFK was killed by a lone shooter, and the 9/11 attacks were performed by terrorists lead by Osama Bin Laden. There are no conspiracy theories here, just the plain, boring truth.

A new Senate report that concludes there was no connection between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida apparently relegates to insignificant documentation that the federal government released earlier this year drawing that very conclusion.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has disclosed an October 2005 CIA conclusion that the Iraqi dictator did not have a "relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an al-Qaida operative, or any of his associates.
