I had a German chocolate cake slice and it was tan-colored on the inside, with tan-colored icing. I can't figure out how or where to find a recipe for this, or how to make one so it looks like this. All the ones I found have dark chocolate cake with tan icing. I asked the baker but am still waiting for an answer. I need that answer as quick as I can find it! Thanks for any insights!

The horse was galloping toward me, growing more light yellow as it galloped, as if bathed in light, and glowing. The street was a certain one in my neighborhood. The horse seemed to have a rider, also bathed in yellow light, and seeming rather mystical, fantastic, and primitive looking.

I'm in windows XP, and I was transferring a folder full of files over to a memory stick. Suddenly it gave me the warning that it couldn't do it because one of the documents was open. Then the entire folder disappeared, minus one subfolder, which was now empty. It was all empty. I'm sunk. Is it possible to recover these? I've searched the computer and they truly seem to be forever gone. I don't understand! Can anyone tell me how to recover the files?

yes, I know there are a zillion "quick" and "easy" recipes on the web, but that's not what i want. I want what I remember, which called for:

red or green bell peppers, with hot peppers, lemon grass, and ginger added in, everything fresh, pureed in a food processor;

shrimp heads boiled up to make a rich stock.

this added to boiling coconut milk.

about 7-10 years ago i saw some chef's clogs in a catalog. i don't remember which brand they were, but i want to recommend chef's clogs to a local chef whose back hurts from all the standing. do any of you professional chefs (full time!) have a recommendation for some very comfortable ones that will relieve and prevent back problems from working in a kitchen all day?

my kitten has a habit of going up to the 2-year-old cat (especially while she's asleep on her back) and first biting the older cat's chin and neck really hard, then licking her face, neck, and head all over. I understand that cats groom each other, like monkeys do, but I don't get the biting. The older cat also licks the kitten, but doesn't bite her in this scenario. What's going on?

when my kitten was 2 months old, the vet shaved a tiny spot on her throat and took some blood. now she is over 6 months old and the fur still hasn't grown back. i know if i take her to the vet, they'll just run a bunch of tests and say 'nothing's wrong'. So, i'm looking for a more informed answer here...
