  • Prescription for the Pill without an internal exam?

    2 years ago, I decided I was done with yearly internal gyn exams. They're painful and embarrassing, and I feel a complete waste of time and money.

    I see an alternative health practitioner on a regular basis. However, since she's not a doc, she can't write scrips. Is it possible to get a doc to write a scrip for the Pill without that horrible internal exam? I mean, is it absolutely REQUIRED?

    I'd have no problem with an office visit that isn't invasive, but that freakin' internal exam is just out of the question for me.
