  • At fault for a rear end collision?

I rear ended a car in the passing lane recently. A witness said a truck dropped glass causing chaos and I couldn't avoid her. The officer didn't give me a ticket. I am just wondering if that means it wasn't my fault or it could be deemed later my fault? Even the driver who's car I hit said "it's not like it's your fault."

  • Questions about a grading sheet in excel?

I am making a grading sheet in excel that is based on a point system. I want to make it to where I can see my CURRENT grade out of current available points as well as see what my score is out of total points. I have a column for the total available points that has a formula: =IF(B3>0,45, IF(B3=0, 0)). My only problem is that if they someone actually gets a 0 on the assignment it shows no available points and messes up their score. any ideas?

  • Problems with 2009 HHR LT?

I just got a red 2009 Chevrolet HHR LT (used, amazingly) for about $15000. I drove it for about a day when "Check ECS" and "Check Traction" warnings came on and the check engine light stayed on. Chevy said it was due to a drained battery that may have been caused by detailing. Is this true?

They also said the fact the steering wheel has to be tilted to the right for the car to drive straight (if the wheel is straight car goes left) was an alignment issue and they "fixed" the alignment. The car still has the same problem! Any ideas?

  • Changing the name on the mortgage/house?

I live in Texas. We moved here in 2003 but my mother's credit was not good enough to get a house note. A friend put the house in his name for us and she has been making payments since then. He has it set in his will that she can keep making payments but he is not well recently. It is possible he will be put in a nursing home and that medicaid will liquidate everything. We are wondering if there is anything she can do? I am not sure where to go or what to do, but the house isn't in the best of shape after 2 hurricanes. She doesn't, however, want to lose what money she has put into the house. Any help would really be appreciated. I don't know her credit score, but my credit is better though I am only 23 and recently unemployed. Hers isn't awful but she has a lot of bills still.

  • Can I get a JCPenney Refund?

I bought some clothes today and realized once I got home that I was charged for 5 shirts when I only bought 4. I bought 2 of one kind that were buy one get one for a dollar, but she rang up a 3rd one. They overcharged me $36. I don't think I'll have time to go to the store until Monday. I'm worried they'll try to say that I am trying to scam them but I want my $36 back!!! What do I need to do to prove to them they overcharged me?

  • Can my school really keep my money?!?

I was awarded a $3000 grant for the coming year but I graduate in December. Financial aid told me that I will only get half as it HAS to be broken up into two dispersements and that they will just keep the other half!! That means I'll have to pay for the rest with a loan. I do NOT think it's fair that they keep my grant money. I worked hard to keep my grades up to get the grant in the first place!

Can they really just keep it? I live in Southeast Texas.

  • What is the best online school for an MBA?

I have heard that MBA's online are useless, but I won't have any other option considering time contraints. I am currently receiving a Bachelors in Management Information Systems from Lamar University and am looking into graduate studies. So far I have heard from Keller (a private online school), AIU, and Kaplan. Kaplan is the cheapest but I don't know if I like their program choices. AIU offers a 10 month program but I'm weary of such a short period (though it is a perk too) and while books are included and they are $1000 less than Keller, Keller has 11 different concentrations for their MBA. The school I go to now might start offering their MBA online, I'm told. I know a lot of people are getting Bachelors and that I'll need more experience/education to put myself into a better position. I don't expect an excessive salary, however. Any advice?

  • How much would you pay for a masters degree?

I am graduating with my bachelors in December and am looking into a Master's program. I want to go with an online school and one i have looked at is saying about $32,000 for the Masters I want. Do you think this is reasonable or too much?

  • I got a stimulus check by mistake?

I originally filed claiming myself but found out my mother could still claim me and wouldn't owe if she did, so I filed an amendment. I got a stimulus check and I KNOW that i wasn't supposed to as I am a dependent. I have spent 3-4 hours trying to get a hold of someone to let them know and I keep getting "we are unable to handle your call at this time." I called my local tax office but I'm told by others they don't know much more than helping you file. I know I can't spend the money (it's not mine), but what should I do?

  • Pain in ear with mild hearing loss?

I have had pain in my ears for a while. My mom saw a lot of wax and got the drops but this caused SEVERE throbbing and reddness. Now the ear sounds muffled almost like when your ears are plugged. I also have pain in and around the ear (left), in my left tonsil, and in the back part of my head (lymph node).

The health center at school just gave me tylenol for the headaches. I have TMJ and a wisdom tooth coming in on that side but both have been there a while. I am at a loss and my ears ALWAYS hurt. I go to an ENT and he never sees anything. I had nasal surgery last Aug. for constant sinus infections. Anyone have any ideas? I am taking Augmentin right now...

  • Setting up a Wireless network?

I have a Linksys wireless-g router with a cable modem. My current computer has a Netgear PCI wireless card installed but for my new computer I'd like to use a Linksys or something that would work well with my Linksys router (I'm not a fan of Neatgear). I'm not picky about USB or PCI, whatever will give me a good signal for a good price will work. I would like to avoid spending more than $70, preferably not more than $50 but I might pay more for a better one. I have researched different models, but haven't liked the ratings on many of the Linksys cards. What would you recommend? Thanks!
