  • Does this sound like this is heart related?

I was laying really low in my bed with my head propped up, so i was kind of looking down my chest. But then I heard some very light clicks. like about 4 in a row. It was like a very slight knuckle crack, but not nearly as intense as an actual knuckle crack. So i got worried because it seemed to come in a rythym that would be like my heart with an equal pause in between each sound. I also heard a click like it standing up. it was a very light click.

Im wondering if this is my throat causing this noise somehow with an air pocket in tandem with my heart beat, or if its my heart making a noise i could hear. I dont feel any pain at all with it, it just scares me to think my heart would be making a high pitch sound I can hear with my ears and would sound sort of high pitched.

    Thanks.

I got an echocardiogram plus an ekg and got cleared of any problems 2 years ago, but i just get stressed.

  • Need Help With Movie Idea?

Alright, so I need to come up with a short film idea (4 minutes or under) and I wanted some help with ideas. The thing is that the film cannot have dialogue, but it can have music and sound effects and ambience. I only get one day to shoot it, so I dont want anything complex or visual effects or prop heavy. I also dont want to have to use too many actors (preferably under 5 actors). I have to shoot it on a college campus, so I can use dorms or outdoor parts of the campus. I was thinking about making a comedy about a weird person on facebook or something that revolves around some person or 2 people on the internet doing things. Idk, im just brain storming.

    Thanks for any ideas.

  • Instrument Dilemma?

So Ive played drums for 4 years, and I was getting to a place where I was seeing myself as a good drummer. People commented on my great playing and I impressed some people. In the greater part of this past year though, Ive been inspired to pick up the bass. Thats all I really practiced every day after school. Ive gotten down good slap technique and know some mildy hard songs. But I got on the drums recently and I was so rigid when playing to music. I would get off time. id try to play something impressive to prove I could still play, but id overdo it and flop. I literally leave my drumset evertime i try to play it now with a headache. I used to be able to play and enjoy the hell out of the drums. Now i overthink and get rigid. It sucks. So should I keep playing bass and try to get great at that. I feel guilty leaving my drumming in the dust. How can i stay on track with both instruments.

Also, my friend contacted me to drum in a band next school year. I said yes, but said i might have to play bass since my drum talents have escaped me. im not sure its a playing thing as much as a mental thing with the rigidity of my drumming. The spark just isnt there, and the drumming is feeling like a task to me. Bass playing is harder in a way, but is more of an adventure. I just feel guilty leaving the drums which brought me so much joy over the years.

    I need help :(

  • What Band Will I Like Out of This Music?

Heres the link to the Houston Free Press Summer Fest lineup:

    http://fpsf.com/learn.php

I'm going with a bunch of friends, not because I like the music being played there (The only band I recognize and kind of like are the Deftones, Wu-Tang, DMX)

So I hate hipster music and alt rock, or atleast the crap thats made today. I also hate that **** Gambino calls rap. I like Tupac, so I do enjoy good rap.

Im into classic rock, funk, and classic R&B. I love new wave music too, thats about how alternative I get in that regards

So any clues on which bands I should see while I'm there, let me know, thanks.

  • Overthinking my drumming and playing?

So ive been invited to join a band as a drummer and sometime bass player at school. It plays for different occasions around school. I've drummed for 4 years, and got pretty good, but took the last 5 months off to pick up bass playing. So once I got invited to play drums, I hoped back on the set and started practicing again. I felt I was over thinking everything and screwing up. I wasn't playing like I wanted.

So anyways, i know I have to practice again, but how do just let go and not think so hard about playing well in front of my peers. I get a headache just thinking about it. Its difficult for me

    thanks to any thoughtful responses.

  • I Don't Think I want to go to Prom?

Just as the question states. I don't talk to many girls at best. Its probably closer to none. I know one girl who thinks of me as a funny kid, but I dont think shed want me to ask her. Anyways I havent talked to her much all year. I really dont know any other girls well, and I feel awkward just thinking about asking a girl I dont know. The only part I dont like about not going is that all of my friends ask everyday "who are you going with" and I hat being in that awkward situation. Should I just say "I'm going out of town?"

  • Was this a Foul?

Me and some friends played a pickup basketball game. We take it pretty serious and call fouls. So to win the game i did a jump hook over my defender and got hit on my shoulder decently hard by the forearm of my defender. I called "and-1" before the ball even went through the basket. My friend is a hot head and screamed that it was F'ing bs and that he went straight up and down.

Isnt it a foul if his arms were slightly angled over my shot and i jumped up into them with the form of my hook shot and it hit my shoulders, but it didnt affect the shot?

I watch a ton of NBA and my friends rely on me to make calls in our games, but my friend flipped a **** at this call

  • Joakim Noah vs Serge Ibaka DPOY?

I was thinking Serge Ibaka woulf finally win it this year. I watch every Rockets game and whenever we hit OKC, Ibaka literally makes life hell for Dwight in the paint with the help defense he provides. My friend thinks Noah should win it for being an overall defensive player.

So between the two, who wins Defensive Player of the Year?

  • Should I Start Taking Bass Lessons?

Ive taken Piano lessons for the past 12 years, so thats made every other musical endeavor ive worked towards that much easier. For instance, Ive taught myself drums over the past 5 years and Id say Im at a good intermediate level where I can play along with all of my favorite stuff.

But Ill cut to the chase. Ive been playing bass on and off for 3 years, and have just now started to love it as Ive discovered how much I like Funk bass. I can play some easy to medium level bass lines and funk/slap lines, but I really want to get good at it and learning slap techniques is hard for me learning of YouTube vids. So should I take lessons or just keep at it till I get it down. I just do tabs for bass so would lessons really help me out?

  • Why Don't I love Basketball/NBA Anymore?

Im 17 years old. Male. I have been an NBA nut for the past 3 years. I follow every trade and transaction and am obsessed with the teams I like.

But the season just started and I started watching some games and It was almost like I couldn't even sit and watch it. I found myself rooting for the team against my favorite team for some reason. I didnt get excited when my team scored.

Its kind of bothering me that I cant help myself to enjoy watching NBA. Its very bizarre in my opinion.

I guess it could be phase. I have suffered from anxiety in the past but Im dont think that has to do with it.

Anyway what could possibly cause someone to lose interest in something they absolutely love? Should I take a break from watching it and come back to it in a couple of weeks?

Thanks for any advice to my odd question.

  • Am I right in Canceling my XBOX One preorder for a PS4?

I originally preordered xbox one about 2 months ago thinking it would be better than ps4 in the long run, but I have since cancelled it. I have played on xbox since I can remember. I read a lot of reviews and the general consensus seems to be that the PS4 will be a graphically better looking system and a more powerful one.

Im a big 2k basketball fan and have seen that all of the trailers for the next gen have come out were recorded on a ps4. Will games that are created both for xbox one and PS4 look the same? Is it only PS4 exclusive games that will look better?

  • Constant/Persistent Headache?

Im a 17 year old male. I exercise a lot and am overall healthy. Ive been having a persistent headache that comes and feels like a pain in the top of my forehead and then a needle like pain on the back of my head. I have it for about 65-70% of the day. It feels like a constant headache pretty much that gets little pricks and quick poke feeling allover my head.

It used to feel just like a band was around my head, but it has since gotten worse over the past week or so. I get weird feeling in my head like little needle pains and sometime it makes it difficult for me to read at school and that my eyelids are heavy feeling. Some days are worse than others, but I have never had headaches like this that persist. I am usually able to go to bed and wake up fine, but now i will go to bed and within 10 minutes of waking up, my headache returns. I don't black out or anything and it doesn't get worse with exercise, it stays the same when i'm active pretty much.

I used to think it was anxiety or something like that, which I get sometimes. But i researched my pains and it seems like it could be poor blood flow through the arteries in my head and could cause blindness. That of course scares me...

any tips on what this could be. Thanks

  • My fitness seems to have left me?

I'm 15 6'0 tall 185 lbs and have been in great shape for the past 2 years. last year I got scared that I may have had a heart problem, so I got a bunch of tests and I turned out to be fine. That was last year though, and I have since returned to running hard and for pretty long distances, but ive struggled with anxiety and getting things like palpitations. I have controlled my anxiety vastly, but still get palpitations that I have never experienced before in my life besides this past year.

But recently in the past month I've been getting headaches that aren't really headaches, but seem to a band being wrapped around my forehead and upper head feeling.

Im also really fast, and after pushing myself to the limit, i get pins and needles feelings down my forearm and sometimes a few in the back of my head. All of these sensations kind of scare me.

At school I'm feeling more tired and aware of my heartbeat after running what would have been an easy couple laps for me in the past

is this all in my head? what could be giving me these weird sensations even though I have recieved 2 EKG's and an ECG?

  • Trouble Breathing: Experienced Runner?

Im 16. 6'0 and 186 lbs. I used to run everyday for about 2 years. I lost a lot of fat and became healthy. I loved to run and could do 3 miles straight (a lot for me). I then got anxiety about a heart problem that I didnt have. I got an ekg and ecg and they all came back fine. I have since been running and exercising. No chest pain or anything. I can run the treadmill hard and get through it fine. Its just when I go out to the track and do sprints. I feel like my heart is beating extremeley fast. It may be just because ive become more aware of my heart since my anxiety started last year. I also started getting headaches where it feels like there a bamd around my upper forehead and ita numb. I tend to concentrate on my breathing and heart racing which may make it worse....

what are some good breathing techniques I can use while running to help me feel better and last longer. Long breaths? short breaths? thanks

  • What Position Should I Play in HS Basketball?

Alright, so played basketball every year from 6th grade to 9th grade for school. I always played center, because I was the tallest or second tallest on the team, but I was certainly the best built and strongest, which made me an enforcer.

I took my sophomore year off basketball and now Im thinking about playing again this year. The only problem is that I don't know if i can still play center. Im 6'1 with shoes and about 187 lbs. There are taller kids than me who play varsity, but I think I would play JV, but I dont care as its fun.

But am I probably too small now to play center? My basketball idols are Hakeem Olajuwan and Zach Randolph, but Im a lot more skilled now then I used to be. My mid-range is easily the best of anyone I know. I shoot over the head and can fade away from the post. I also drive well because I go hard and am still big boned so people dont like to get in my way. I love to rebound too.

Should I try out for small forward or SG?
