  • tile a shower floor?

I had a shower installed in our basement. We used a unit from Kohler. The plumber installed the base wrong (only used wooden support beams but nothing to support the whole bottom..he said Kohler's instructions said it had a support and didn't need another). Long story short, it does need support because now it's cracked. No one will take blame and I need the shower to not leak.

I want to rip the base out and have it tiled. Can it be done? Do the walls have to come out too? Who would I use to do something like this?

Thanks for any help..we live in the chicago area.

  • MS questions?

I have a niece that has MS...she's in her early 30's now. Anyone have a great doc that is getting really good results with the drugs and therapy that is being done? Please post where you're at and who is the best, so i can pass it onto her. Any experiences you're having would be good too so I can let her know she's not the only one going through these things!

    Thanks again!

  • DVT-Anyone have one in the groin or higher and have surgery to remove it?Did you get off the coumadin then?

I was diagnosed with a DVT that traveled from the knee up to the groin area. The clot is about 4" long and is more in the trunk of my body. Only one section is in the groin/leg. People are telling me to have it removed so I can get off the coumadin. I've checked with 2 docs and looked online and all indications are they can remove the clot (after inserting a type of filter to catch the small clots that might break loose and go to my heart or lungs), but I would probably have to still be on coumadin for the rest of my life because the vein is "damaged" and more clots could form there.

Is there anyone out there that knows differently? Has had something similar and had it removed? Is living with a huge clot now with no complications..or with complications?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know the state or town you live in if you have docs with different opinions so I can check into it.

    Thanks for the help!
