Ok, I am trying to ID a part that was hooked into my stereo and melted. It was a small rectangular shaped box that my speaker wires were routed thru. On one side 8 speaker wires and a black ground came into it from the stereo hookup. Coming out into the hookup to connect to the car were only 4 speaker wires and the ground. opening it up I can see that after going thru a couple of circuits the negitave speaker line hooks back into the positve. Now where the ground comes out of it all of the negitave speaker hookups connect to the ground. I imagine for someone who does this it is probably pretty easy so hopefully I get an answer soon.

Hi, when booting from a Vista install dvd it grays out the upgrade option, is there any way to enable this option under boot. The laptop i am trying to fix can boot from the dvd but freezes up when ever a dvd is loaded under windows.

Hi, I have a clients computer whose registry permissions all vanished, I ran the reset program from MS (subinacl) and it worked for the registry entries already there. So i thought yay I wil go and install office like they were trying to b4 they brought it to me. got just past where it was failing b4 and failed again at a registry entry. Checked it out and the newly created entry had empty permissions too. I was able to add permissions and fixed it and a couple more came up. Does anyone know what could cause newly created registry entries to come up empty like that? To see what i mean, run regedit and right click on on of the entrys on the left and click permisssions, under group or user names it is blank.

I have already made sure it was clean of malware and viruses.

I was recently fired for refusing to do an assigned task that the week before my general manager said i did not have to do. I applied for unemployment and received a letter stating my employer was contesting my unemployment because of failure to preform a task that was within the terms of my hire. I think that when my manager agreed that i would not have to do it, that was a permanent change to the terms of my employment. There was no "we will see how this goes" or "until we need you to do it again", he said that if i gave them one more day they would have a replacement the day after and i would no longer be doing that job.

Do i have a case to appeal? (looking more for guidence than legal advice)
