  • How do I enlage Illustrator icons?

I want to increase the size of the tool box icons in Adobe Illustrator CS4.

The tiny fly-out triangles are so small they cannot be easily selected with a touch pad.

I would also like the tool tip text to not be microscopic green so I can see what it says.

Where are the accessibility tuning options in the program?

  • "Do not search from address bar" no longer working?

If I mistype a URL I am directed to auto.search.bing.com. I want to get a 404 error or a DNS error so I know I mistyped something and can correct it.

If I want to search I want to select my search page, if I enter a URL I do NOT want an auto-search.

I am using IE6 and do not have any search bars, I am happy to tweak the registry if there is a real solution. The advanced options button (see heading) that is supposed to turn of any of these search features in the address bar is selected but ignored.

  • What options to ship from USA to RSA via surface?

I need my friend to send me some personal goods from Oregon, North America to South Africa and cannot justify the high cost of USPS Airmail options on heavy parcels.

The total weight is around 40lb (19kg) but it is a couple of separate parcels the heaviest around 27lb (12kg).

What cost effective services are available to send via surface mail, I am in no rush as the stuff has been there for a month already and I can wait one or two more, tracking is not essential.

  • Solutions for gluing up small die-cut boxes?

I need to permanently glue closed the side and both ends of boxes about 100mm tall that are scored, die-cut and supplied flat. This is for manually assembling and packing small batches of 100 to 200 boxes at a time so hot melt glue comes to mind. The ends should be reasonably easy to glue after packing.

I don't like the idea of double sided tape very much as it seems a bit less permanent and professional than glue so am trying to find other solutions.

Suppliers of suitable dispensers, equipment or solutions in South Africa would be nice.
