  • How long are the new Florida Driver licenses issued for?

The old Driver licenses issued in 2005 and before were issued for 8 years. However, the state of Florida is so incompentant, they don't know how long their new driver licenses are issued for. On their various web sites the New Florida driver license with the picture of the old man is issued for 4 years and the new Florida driver license with the picture of the young man is issued for 8 years. And, since Florida doesn't know, their web site doesn't state the number of years.

  • Has anyone seen a payphone lately?

I went looking for one a few days ago and there were none.

The payphone at WalMart was removed. However, they allowed me to use their desk phone where without a doubt I was recorded on video.

  • Can you buy a boat large enough to sail on the ocean without government approval?

All it takes to buy a car from and individual is cash. The seller doesn't need government's permission to sell me the car. I don't even have to license it for thirty days. I don't even need a license to drive. I can hire someone to drive the car for me.

Does the same apply for a boat? If I have a boat can I depart the jurisdiction of the United States without papers. Can I just sail away or hire a person to take me? Or else, if I find a boat owner that is leaving the United States can I just hitch a ride or does he have to obtain permission from the government?

  • Is the USA a prison much like the USSR was with their iron curtain?

You cannot buy an airplane ticket to a designation outside the USA without permission. It requires a passport. However, does that include all form of transportation?

Ignoring the requirements that other countries may have for you to enter their country and disregarding the requirements to show you papers to reenter the United States, are you free to leave the USA, similar to your freedom to cross state lines, without paper.

Specfically, can you buy a boat from an individual and depart the United States, without a passport or other papers? Or if you make that attempt, is is likely that the Coast Guard or the police will arrest you and prevent you from leaving?

  • Is the United States a Prison?

I asked a similar question regarding air travel to depart the United States and the answer was "yes." Two politicans sugar coated their answers like politicans alway do when they restrict our freedoms. One stated, you must have a passport but that everyone is granted a passport. Obviously that is false. Let a 12 year old ask for a passport or someone without a SSN, let alone without other papers.

Arkansas and Texas are not prisons. I live in Texarkana, and have crossed State Line Road hundreds of times and, except for the requirement of a driver's license to drive, no one has ever prevented me from crossing State Line Road into the other state. A policeman looked when I walked across, probably because I was J-walking. Then he just drove on. Nor do they have guards preventing children from leaving their state whether riding a bicycle or walking across State Line Road.

I gave the above as an example so readers would understand the difference between freedom and a prison. If a person is prevented from leaving by police or guards within the country unless they have papers (permission), the country is prison.

A person cannot leave the United States by airplane without obtaining permission. One cannot just purchase an airline ticket and leave. To fly, they must have papers.

However, disregarding the requirements of Canada, Mexico, and other countries, for entering their country or the requirement for reentering the United States, are people prevented from leaving the United States by walking, driving, or taking a boat?

For example, and especially can a person buy or rent a boat and leave the juristiction of the United States (I belive 200 miles) without a passport or other papers?

  • Are you required to have permission to depart the USA?

Ignoring the requirements that others countries may require for you to enter their country, are American citizens prisoners in the USA? Is it like it was with the Iron curtain is the USSR? Are you required to obtain paperwork to depart or do American citizens have the freedom to buy an airline ticket to whatever designation they choose and leave?

  • Can Inkjet printers print on clear plastic sheets?

In the past, I would print on 8.5" x 11" clear plastic sheets (about as thick or a little thicker than paper) using a LasorJet printer and had good results. Except when it was too thin and the heat tended to kind of curl or warp it.

Will inkjet printers print on the same material? Or does it have to have some coating?

    1 AnswerPrinters1 decade ago
  • What is the coating for inkjet printers?

I alway has a lasorjet so I didn't give it much thought but now that I am thinking about an inkjet that is applicable. Apparently inkjet paper is smoother and more expensive. So what is the paper treated with or what is it coated with to make it suitable for inkjet printers?

  • Do Clubs When Carding Read the Magnitic Strip on IDs?

It has been a while since I've been carded but nothing surprises me anymore.

I read on the internet that some clubs when carding for age, will run the driver's license through a magnatic strip reader. Do clubs actually do that?

  • Does Drivers Licenses expire at age 21?

The Illinois state website stated that, for a person under 21, the license expires 60 days after their 21st birthday.

Is that common? Do most states have drivers licenses expiring on or about a person's 21st birthday?
