  • PS2 question?

*I am aware of the analog color formats (NTSC PAL SECAM).

I was interested in buying the US version of DVD Region X for my unmodified NTSC-U/C PS2, which would allow the viewing of other region DVD's on a US PS2. Now, would this disc allow the system to play a PAL DVD movie, regardless of whether I have a multisystem TV or converter?

If the answer is no, does that mean that the unit will refuse to play the disc, or that it will play it anyway, but there would be no picture? I have researched this, but have gotten no straight answers.

Any and all knowledge would be appreciated, but please answer the question as given.

  • What is making my 2001 Neon lose power? Serious answers only!?

When more than 1/4 throttle is applied from dead stop, fuel pressure seems to drop off at 3400 RPM, resulting in a loss in power and a hard shift. When more throttle is applied at low speeds, the engine bogs down, signaling an inability to draw fuel. This operation is abnormal for this time of year.

Engine is getting enough air, so I suspect some kind of fuel system issue. I also suspect some kind of impurity in the gasoline, as condensation could be developing in the tank. I'm thinking it could be the fuel pump as well. Whatever the issue, this car is not operating correctly.

*Engine does not knock, ping, stall, smoke, leak oil, or misfire, and air filter is clean. Fuel filter/pressure regulator was changed last summer, but I do not dismiss it as a possibility. Odometer reads 87560 miles, and it is presenting no trouble codes. Fuel consumption has not changed.

Any at all help would be appreciated, but only if you have knowledge of this vehicle. No stupid answers.

  • Why does my 2001 Dodge Neon struggle for no apparent reason?

My Neon was running fine until about 3 days ago. Now, whenever I give it more than 1/4 throttle from a dead stop, the engine seems to struggle and does not pull as strongly as it usually does. It's kinda like when you have the A/C on. It is then followed by an upshift that makes the car sort of lurch forward instead of shifting smoothly, only happening when the engine runs as such. Full power seems to return after it hits 40 MPH. Until now, it only acted this way if (1) the outside temperature was above 85F, or (2) the spark plugs or ignition wires were bad, both of which are brand new. It does not stall, smoke, buck, ratlle, misfire or have trouble starting, it runs fine otherwise, but now it does it all the time, and it only started when the weather warmed up a couple of days ago. I am thinking it is probably a bad sensor of sorts or an ignition problem, but I am unsure as to what is causing it. Any at all advice would be greatly appreciated, and only serious inquiries please.
