I have recently just bought an Asus T100 2-in-1 tablet that claims to have pre-installed Microsoft Office 2013. When I open the MS icon on my tablet, it gives me the option of Buy, Activate, or Try for trial version. I couldn't find the MS product key anywhere in the box that the tablet comes in to activate MS or have no clue how to get it.

I'm just so confused and mad. Does anyone knows how to find it?

I'm filling out my college application fee waiver using the Sat fee waiver. I use two separate emails for common app and college board.

The Sat fee waiver asks for my email but I don't know which one to choose.

Hi, I've just learned about kennings in my english and they're metaphorical compound of words to describe something. My class is supposed to write essays about kennings in Beowulf and I'm trying to identify them to write an essay.

The thane's commander

The arch warrior

flower of warriors

flower of manhood

warriors' protector

They all refer to Beowulf.

So, which one on this list are kennings and which one is not kenning.

Would being a Vietnamese immigrant be a hook to Ivy schools?

I'm Vietnamese and I'm a junior this year. I live near Cornell University and think it is amazing. I want to apply but I don't think I have a chance to stand out among other amazing valedictorians out there. I'm not average but I'm not extremely smart either. I rank 6th since 9th grade, haven't checked that for years but I'm sure I'm not going down. I haven't take my SAT but I have been studying and I volunteer weekly for a hospital that I'm fond of.

I don't think I stand out much so I'm wondering if being a legal Vietnamese immigrant be a hook, or is it not because Asians are not an underrepresented minority?

Help, I'm 17 and I moved from Vietnam to America legally with my family since I was 13.

I go to school and my school has this program to travel to Spain and France in the summer.

I want to go really bad but I'm afraid I can't use my Vietnam passport to go there because my passport is not an American passport and I'm a not a citizen yet.

This is the curve for English this year.

Basically, if you have a perfect score in the writing sections, you have the chance of getting above 90 even if you got like 5 wrongs in multiple choice.

However, if you got like 2 wrongs in multiple choice and 1 point off in the writing sections, you're down to an 80s.

This is ridiculous!!! It was not this bad last year. Why is it so tough?!

Ok, so today, my English class has a presentation where everyone has to stand up and present a poet. There is no words on the Power Point, only pictures, so everyone has to speak on their own.

I was stressed out the whole time before I did mine and when I stood in front of the class, I kind of calm down a little bit, but still nervous.

I talked so fast and stuttered a few times. However, by the end of the class, my teacher said that he thought in the beginning I read the whole thing from the book or something even though I didn't read anything out. And this one very nice girl said I speak very eloquence and nice.

I thought I was horrible and stuttered like a dumb person.

The reactions from both my classmates and friend were confusing. My friend even thought I was going to faint half way. :D

What do you guys think? Did I do good based on the reaction?

I have an Asian accent, probably because I'm Asian. :)

It's a light, kind of pitchy accent. It's not heavy and I can speak pretty clear English.

The problem isn't on the word that I said or something, it's on the voice that I have. I sound like a friggin' 8 years old pitchy voice kid.

I was teased a little because of it. I feel like people are looking down on me because of it. I've been trying to change it for a while but it's like a habit. It's hard to change the way I talk.

I'm doing an essay in my World History class about Buddhism and I can't come up with a thesis. This is what I came up with. Is this a thesis?

"Buddhism also brought up many arguments between its followers and people who are not followers of Buddhism in ancient time of China to see whether or not it had positive affect on people."

Ok, I'm moving to a new house in the beginning of the year.

I'm supposed to go to a school in the city this year, but I already moved away and going to a new school.

But the old school that I supposed to go to keep calling my old house, saying that I'm absent and all that. It's been 3 months.

How do I get out of my old school? My mom keeps bugging me to call the school back and said that I already moved away, but I don't think that will get rid of the problem.
