  • What do you think of this unisex name?

I was looking around Facebook the other day and saw that someone named their newborn baby an interesting unisex name.

The name is Austyn Ryan. She is a girl.

I personally think it's horrendous. There's nothing feminine about this name, and she doesn't have a non-masculine name to go by. Obviously though, not everyone agrees with my opinion.

So what do you think? Is this a horrible name, or is it just a new trend that people like me have to accept? Give me your opinions!

  • Which middle name for Helena+BQ?

Helena Violet or Helena Pearl? Or other suggestions?

BQ: What would be a good middle name for Ezra? I've been struggling to find one I like. I tend to like old-fashioned names :)

  • A question about women and testosterone?

So a few years back (2 years or so) my gynecologist tested me for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (POS) because I told him that my periods were often irregular. He concluded that I do not have it because there were no cysts on my ovaries. He said that I likely produce the same amount of testosterone as other woman, but that my body has a bigger reaction than most. As a result, my periods are irregular and I get dark hairs on my chin, breasts, and stomach that I have to pluck constantly. It isn't severe, but it is embarrassing and inconvenient. At the time, my gynecologist put me on birth control as he said that it would keep my symptoms from getting any worse, however, my health insurance changed after about 6 months and I wasn't able to afford it anymore. My symptoms have worsened a little bit, but nothing too drastic.

I plan on going back to the gynecologist and getting back on birth control within the next few months (when I feel I can afford it, I'm a poor college student), but I wanted to see if anybody else has experienced something similar to this. Could this be some kind of medical condition besides POS? Is there a way to treat the unwanted hair? Should I get back on birth control? Tell me what you know and what kind of experiences you've had.

    Thank you!!

  • Opinions on this girl name?

I asked this question earlier, but I figured I would ask the night crew :)

The name is Evanna. I pronounce it Ee-vah-nah.

I first discovered this name as the girl who plays Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies name is Evanna Lynch. What do you think of it?

    BQ: Middle name suggestions?

  • What do you think of my names?

I'm not pregnant, but I'm obsessed with what my future children will be named. The surname will be Gibbons (well it should be anyway). For a girl, I really like Adelaide Cecile, and for a boy, I really like the first name Cedric, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a middle name. I'm just wondering what the baby name obsessed people on here think of my names. I'm not going to try and say to be nice, I know I'm asking for your opinion, and I know a some might not have a positive opinion of my names and say mean things about them, but I already know I like them, so say what you want ;).

Also, does anyone have any middle name suggestions for Cedric? Before you answer this, I will not use a name of someone in my family, someone important to me, etc. It's just not my thing, I think an individual should have their own identity, and not have to live up to someone else's. Also, nothing trendy or with weird spelling.

    Thanks everyone!

  • What do you think of the world's most hated baby names?

Hi Everyone! I just read a really interesting name on yahoo about the world's most hated baby names. To me, it's almost amazing but not really surprising of how many of the most popular names are listed. So what do you think? Do you think it's accurate? Tell me your opinion! Here's the list and then the full link below.

    Girls

    1. Nevaeh ("heaven" spelled backward and one of the most divisive names around, according to Wattenberg)

    2. Destiny (people dislike names that confer a virtue onto a child, Wattenberg said -- and many associated this name with exotic dancers)

    3. Madison

    4. Mackenzie

    5. McKenna

    6. Addison (an example of a masculine named turned feminine, which many people dislike, Wattenberg said)

    7. Gertrude (people said this name is "ugly")

    8. Kaitlyn (for its "made-up" spelling)

    9. Makayla

    10. Bertha (author's note: duh!)

    Boys

    1. Jayden

    2. Brayden

    3. Aiden

    4. Kaden (these rhyming names struck many as overdone, Wattenberg reported)

    5. Hunter (too much like a last name or "too violent")

    6. Hayden

    7. Bentley (people dislike brand-name names, Wattenberg found, calling them "trashy")

    8. Tristan

    9. Michael (too boring, according to some)

    10. Jackson

    Thanks!

  • Managerial Accounting Question?

Cathy's Towels sells three items: bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths in a 4:3:2 mix (a batch of 9 towels has 4 bath towels, 3 hand towels, and 2 washcloths). Each bath towel sells for $10 and costs $4, each hand towel sells for $5 and costs $2, and each washcloth sells for $2.50 and costs $1. The shop's annual fixed expenses are $324,000. How many bath towels must the firm sell at the break even point?

PLEASE HELP! I have a test tomorrow and I can't figure out most of the problems from my practice quiz. I'm going to be asking more problems if you're good at this and would like to help!!!

  • Harry Potter stories on Quizilla anyone?

Hey everyone! I really used to love all of the Harry Potter themed love stories on Quizilla, but I haven't been able to find many good ones lately. Are there really any good ones that anyone knows about anymore? I'd love to read some! I've always like ones with Draco, Fred, and Oliver. Quizilla is the only website I've ever used though (no fanfiction or anything like that...too confusing!) so that's all I'm really looking for if anyone knows of any (long and well written only!). Also, though I've never written a story before, an idea hit me for a potential Fred Weasley story recently, so if anybody would be interested in something like that, please let me know!

  • Why was this past recession worst since the Great Depression?

    Exact phrasing of question:

Why was this recession worse than any recession since World War II? Why was there a strong consensus among the government and the public that the economy was at the brink of another Great Depression?

My professor cannot speak english, therefore I never have any idea what she is talking about or what exactly she is looking for in an answer.

This worksheet that this question is on has been asking me about the effects on the housing market during the recession so far but seems to be getting more broad about the market. Please please please help me!
