What country would be a good choice for working in ESL?
Currently working as an ALT in Japan, have been for 6 years. Husband and i are thinking of a change of scenery, still working. NOT in a voluntary capacity. Has anyone taught in Japan and then moved to another country? Any suggestions to where? Thinking of going for a year then returning to Japan.
5 AnswersTeaching9 years agoCan I send Christmas Crackers (bon-bons) to Japan in the post?
NOTE; Not the edible crackers.
I am talking about the traditional Christmas crackers that have the small firework thing in them.
The only company I know that ships them to Japan in Tom Smiths and they are a tad expensive....
If not any ideas?......

1 AnswerPlayStation1 decade agoFood for a ESL Halloween Party.?
Am in Japan teaching English and want to have a Halloween party for the kids again. Last year the food was just potato chips and some candy, but I thought maybe there is something more 'halloweeny' I could do.
Bread is expensive as is fruit. Cakes and the such I can do easily enough. Most recipes that Ive found would easily cost me $200 to make here, but would cost about $5 in the US.
BUT the food has to cover 400 students. See my dilemma ? Any ideas guys?

8 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoLiving semi permanently in Japan, how to?
Have already been to Japan for 2 years, so basic info will not help as I already know it. Loved Japan and am looking to move back for a lengthy stay. My question is: How do I rent a HOUSE in anywhere other than Tokyo (so cliche). I have a border collie and she would go nuts in an apartment. Looking around Shizuoka-ken. Any ideas?
