I need infrared headphones for my car's Jensen DVD player and stereo. I need dual channel IR headphones. I found a nice pair of Audiovox IR2CFF but I don't know if they receive the same frequencies as the original paid which were different and no longer available. If someone could show me what frequencies these headphones use, then I will know whether they will work or not. Thanks.

I just bought a used Kinect model 1414 and I tried to hook it up to my Xbox 360 Elite but the USB cable male end doesn't fit into any of the three USB ports. My xbox 360 Elite was manufactured in 2009. I don't see a manufacture date on the Kinect. It seems ridiculous to me that there could be two different USB port sizes, but clearly, the USB male end is slightly too thick to fit into the USB ports. Does anyone know if this is a fluke or why they would be incompatible. Please provide a link to any sources, if possible. Thanks.

My son bought a used Xbox Elite with 120 mb that was made in 2009. It doesn't have WiFi built in so it needs a wireless adapter. My daughter wants me to buy Kinect so that she can play the dance games. My wife just wants to watch Netflix on that TV. My son wants to play interactive games with his buddies remotely.

Questions:

1) If I shell out $80 for the Kinect, do I stilll have to pay $60 for the wireless adapter?

2) Is there anything wrong with buying a used Kinect?

3) Do I have to buy a subscription to Xbox Live in order to stream my netflix?

4) What's the best deal on XBox Live?

My son wants to buy a used Xbox 360 Elite on Craigslist for $80. We're told that its only 2 years old, has a 250 GB hard drive, one wired controller, but no WiFi. He wants to play his friends remotely on this thing. We have internet service through our cable TV provider and we have cable TV outlets in the basement where this will be set up. Will that provide the internet service also? I can't run a cable from the modem or the router upstairs to the Xbox console. Questions:

1) Do we need to buy something extra for the internet connection?

2) Isn't WiFi supposed to be part of the Xbox 30 elite already?

3) Is this worth buying?

4) Would I have to sign up for a monthly service of some kind?

5) Is there anything else I need to know to set this up to play remotely?

We're a family of four and we have a six hour layover at JFK in July (2:00-8 pm). Our kids are small and we have luggage, so the subway is not an option. We wanted to rent a car and perhaps drive to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 911 memorial but we recognize that the traffic might take too long. Any suggestions? Coney Island or any other sights that are safe, drivable and worthwhile? Suggestions from experienced NYC'ers would be appreciated.

I have many ancestors who died in the 1930s-1960s, some war victims and some not, but I can't find a good database with such records. There are a lot of individual sites with lists from the 1800s, and quite a few with war victims, but nothing beyond that. Any help would be appreciated.

We have a 2 acre pond that's fenced around and the sides are a steep grade with the water line at least 8-10 feet below the surrounding grade. This is a retention pond for our homeowner's association. Two acres is too big for any of the manual methods that I've researched. What seems to be the most promising is the Jensen Lake Mower, but the problem there would be how to remove the weeds from the pond after they're cut. We want to avoid chemical treatments since they leave toxins, cause the dead weeds to rot, and can create algae blooms and fish kills. THANKS!

This is for an ultrasound emitter that kills algae cells in our pond. It operates 7 months out of the year.

Would the length of the cords cause overheating, excessive resistance, or otherwise not deliver the power needed? The 110v outlet is 300' away. I'm also assuming that it would be cost prohibitive to run an underground electrical line and that the electrical lines used for outdoor landscape lighting wouldn't work since this plugs directly into a 100v outlet.
