So I have taken a technique from the internet that involves adding water to your yeast cake at the bottom of your primary fermenter and then putting that mixture into mason jars, letting it settle out and pouring off the beer and being left with mostly yeast at the bottom. I've done this a few times and now it it in the fridge to slow down activity.

My question is if I'm not doing a "yeast starter" or do not have DME to make a wort starter can I just add yeast nutrient to my mason jar to keep the yeast alive and healthy?

I'm using Project 64, and downloaded N Rage's Input manager (For an N64 controller) The issue is I can set up and program all the buttons in the menu and they all register, but as soon as I play a ROM (In this case 007) The joystick will not work. All other buttons work in the ROM, EXCEPT the joystick. HELP!

I asked this question a bit earlier and neither answers are helpful. So please do not say my emulator is jacked and I need to get my $$ back because the emulator is fine and free.

All changes were saved and applied. The game simply will not register the joystick

More specifically, I downloaded "N Rage's Input" something or other for the N64 controller I use. The problem is when I program all the buttons to the controller they all register but when I try to play a ROM the joystick will not register. Help!

I'm looking for something multi-purpose. Basketball, working out, and running are my main concerns, if there is such a thing as a shoe that is good for all three.

I have an 870 Express Super Magnum with a Nordic components tube extension. I'm wondering if anyone knows if any of the number of magazine tube caps sold with a sling stud for a swivel will fir my magazine tube.

I guess the issue would be the threading measurement, which I do not know

Please bear with me as I am not very technical, but I am looking to learn. I'm looking for a more modestly priced scanner than the Uniden BCD-396XT, which I think will handle what I want. According to radioreference.com My local police and emergency response operate on FM, and carry Motorola Type 2 Smartzone radios (These are two different police departments) From my research I need a scanner that can handle "trunking" and APCO 25.

This is where my lack of technical skills needs some help. According to radio reference the city police operate on an FM "mode" on frequencies from 453.00000 to 465.00000. The Uniden Bearcat says it operates at 1240-1300 MHz in AM/FM/NFM/WFM. Does this cover the 453-465 frequencies the city police operate on? Will I be able to tune to these frequencies and listen in? (I am pretty sure it will, but I want someone who know more about this to confirm)

To be more concise, is there a more moderately priced scanner that will be able to listen to my local and city police (Motorola type 2 smartzone/ FM) that is not a handheld or portable unit? I'd rather a stationary one for the house, but I am open to mobile units.

..A Remington 700 SPS? When choosing your rifle on their website they only have a BDL but I have heard SPS and BDL are the same except one has a wooden stock, the other synthetic. Anyone have an SPS they put this stock on? Are they interchangeable?

I am buying someone a Christmas gift but can't get too much information without being to obvious. I am looking for something in the $100-200 range. As far as I know the person has their own mixing software etc. and records voice/audio separate and independently of bass, drums, guitar, etc. I think they would need or would like a USB mic so its automatically digital? And I think a classic looking one with HD sound would be ideal, but I do not know much about mics and am looking for help, thanks!

I have heard about something to this effect with the factory magazines (jamming, last round not loading), it may be brand specific (only on Kimbers, or something) But any feed back would be greatly appreciated, how you remedied it, etc.

I plan on watching TV shows from iTunes. I have an S-Video, and no HDMI on my Laptop. I was wondering which cable (DVI, or VGA) if any transfers Video AND Sound, unlike the S-Vid, that just transfers Video

She's OK, not vomiting, her stool is fine, etc. She'll eat but I have to sit stand next to her and keep saying "eat your dinner" until it's all gone. She got out the other day, we got her back (she's in heat) so I'm afraid she's pregnant. And yes, she will go to the vet after the holiday. I feel like it's a dumb question because if she is pregnant I'd think she'd eat more... anyway she's just as active as always and no obvious injuries. Anyone think they know what the cause may be?
