Does Fry's Electronics have the legal right to search your bags upon exiting the store.?
Today I was at Fry's and I wasn't in a good mood because I couldn't find what I needed. So I decided to buy a drink and snack then leave. Well I was at the door and the bag Nazi's wanted to see my receipt. I put my receipt somewhere in my black hole of pockets, so I said no. They gave me a problem and said we can go back and get another $2 receipt. I again said thats okay, so I tried to leave and they wouldn't let me. So I gave in and dug out the receipt. My question is do they have the legal right to check my receipt and bag upon exit. Do I have to show them my receipt and or bag. I sometimes have to wait in line to leave so I want to know if I can just walk out. Thanks in advanced.

I need to reformat my Laptop and I have important documents on the drive. How can I transfer the data to my desktop. The laptop doesnt boot up properly so I cant copy it normally. I already have an adapter to convert it from 44 pin to 40 pin. When I turn on the computer, the drive is there, but when I open it, the window closes right away. Is there like a recovery program I can use. I have advanced computer knowledge so please help me in anyway. I need that data otherwise I wouldnt care.
