  • my daughter is behind on reading/spelling , how much tutoring a week?

My daughter has an IEP, she is still behind in reading/spelling. She is in K. I was wondering how much tutoring should she receive to catch up. I know the school should be paying/helping but the time they get it together, it will be to late.

  • IEP now school wants to hold child back?

Need some advice on IEP and school issue about daughter. I've had to deal with not a great school system. I has been a fight and My daughter has an IEP, she has speech therapy, hand therapy, social , and behavior therapy. They only have her down with a speech disorder. When she was in FL a different system they had her with IEP with delays in all areas IN PRE-K but here in CO it's only speech. Now She is in K and the school system refused to give her a full day, she went to K for 2 hrs and something mins. .

They now want to hold her back in K and give her a full day of K. Now they think she is to emotional and social immature for 1 st grade. I think it's a bad idea and she will just fall through the school system. I told them it just going to make her more behind. I feel that, it's the schools fault that she is still behind. If they would gave her a full day of K and listen to me telling them she had emotional delays instead of not looking at the FL paper work or listening to me

  • how to deal with flower picking and stealing?

Has anyone had to deal with people stealing and picking your flowers in your yard? I check them every day. Anyways, someone cut and yanked some of my Dutch tulips. I didn't catch them but I saw them circling around like flies.

I'm pretty upset. Should I file a police report? Has anyone had this happen? Do they sell no picking flower signs?

  • tricare on base silly questionnaires?

Does anyone, who goes on base for medical care get stuck with the stupid questionnaires? Mainly dependents

I only have this with base care. I've had this happen 3 times.

I go in for my allergies and some tumors (afterwards turns out to be not cancerous). I'm already stressed the whole cancer thing. Go into the office and bam the questionnaire starts. They ask you questions that has nonthing to do with your condition. The best one was have you ever been checked for STD's and do you have pain in your pevic area? Also do you have anxiety questions. Which I don't have, either!! I'm for a freaking tumor on my arm and not an STD. They must have std and mental health month. I hate getting stuck with the silly questions. Then, I have to waste more time and tell them I've been checked and I'm married.

Today, I went in to a different base. Go in set down, bame and depression questionare month.Do you fell bl/bla. I almost fell off my chair from laughing so hard.

  • genealogist conderrick each other? also advice here?

Another question with genealogy. When I was in high school I lived with a genealogist. She helped take care of me. Anyways, I really didn't pay much attention but she told my dad's side, the last name, she traced them to them Mayflower. That were relatives. I never asked any questions or got paperwork but it explained what my grandfather said to me. Anyways I moved after high school and she moved to another state. We lost contact.

Another one of my releatives either got paper work from the archives or had a genealogist do the tree.

Anyways the results say two different things. I'm having my relative send me the copies.

I think I already found the error but I'm waiting for the copies of the papers to be sent. My relatives paper list the wrong Charles and that is not my gg grandmothers name. Also the newpaper article which has been passed down the famliy conderdicks this too.

Also is this normal for genealogist to conerdick each other?

  • reading a simplicity pattern (4993)?

Yes, I 've made stuff before monkey, blanket, clothes.

I'm having trouble understanding these directions. Ok the typical directions of a rag quilt. White paper dierctions normal fabric color cut so many 1,3,4,5 . But the brown patten it's self another section of directions? Example, it has the paw,7, tells me to cut 8 out and 4 batting.

I should do both set of directions?

This is the first time I've seen double directions on a pattern.

  • OT , ppd does this work , sensory diet with brushing routine does it work?

I saw this article online. I want to try it on my child. What is surgical scrub brush. Does it really work?

He can be as sweet as ever and as un cooperative and mean if he doesn't get his way or something is bothering him. He had a hard time sitting in class, threw lots of tantrums if not handled properly. We had him tested for sensory integration by an OT.....we and the school staff put him on a sensory diet they called it.....the main thing was a brushing routine. He hust loved it! After he was brushed he would just melt......he was calm, would sit in class and cooperate. The brushing routine consists of deeppressure stroking of the arms, hands, back, legs, feet with a surgical scrub brush. It is followed by joint compressions. An OT familiar with sensory integration can try it on him.....you really need to try it for at least a week to know if it helps......to start it is done at least every 2 hours, so you need to have several people trained

  • another question about pdd and Asperger's?

The school findly checked my daughter but for only autism. The report said she didn't have autism, I already knew that. They did NOT test for PDD or Asperger's.

She scored a 156 on a ppd test online but I have to show that to a Neurologist. Her Dr is still working on the refferal to the Neurologist.

Also, I'll give more info on the school report, when I get it.

I already have a family memeber that has PDD or Asperger's. The Dr said my cousin had it but it was in the 80's and they didn't know about PDD.

I was wondering does everyone that has Asperger's have good speech and high voc.?
