I like going on the Internet. What more is there to say?

  • Sound on computer too loud?

I just got a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Windows Vista. I live with a lot of other people who are bothered by noise, so whenever I'm using my computer I used to plug in my headphones. However, with this new computer the sound is so loud that even when the volume is barely on it blasts through the headphones too loud for me to understand what the song/video is saying. Is there a way to adjust the volume settings so it will go even lower? Or should I just buy the lousiest headphones I can find?

I might mention that the headphones I've been using aren't particularly good ones in the first place. I just got them for ten bucks at Walmart to use for my iPod.

  • Where to find high-res pics?

I have a Photoshop idea for an online contest involving this Harry Potter movie still: http://mugglenet.com/gallery/displayimage.php?albu...

But this picture is very grainy. Does anyone know where I could find a bigger, nicer picture?

  • Printer not printing?

I'm trying to print a Microsoft Word document to a local printer. The printer is a HP PSC 700 series, and it's name is HP PSC 750. The computer has a few gigabtyes of memory left. I have restarted Microsoft Word several times. I have tried copying the document text and pasting it into a new document and trying to print that, and that has failed also. Does anyone know what the heck is wrong with this thing?

  • Need an idea for a cheap 40th b-day present for my dad?

My dad is turning 40 tomorrow, and I have nothing to give him. I am completely broke, and I am low on time because I have to go to school tomorrow, so I really only have tonight and a bit of tomorrow to make something if I'm going to. Does anyone know of something I can get him?

  • Help finding a song that might be called "texan time"?

I heard this song at a dance and I'm positive I heard it before, but I have no idea what it's called or who sang it. It sounds kind of alternative/rock, and it's a male singing it. As far as I can tell, some of the lyrics go like this:

    "Hey......everything you can......"

And then the chorus is like:

    "It's a Texan time, a little bit

    It'll be a (something something), huh-uh, huh-uh

    Everything'll be alright, alright"

Anyone who can give me an artist or song title is an amazing genius who I will heap praise upon, as well as ten points.

  • Reader's Digest Submit a joke?

I have tried over 20 times to submit a joke on rd.com. I fill in everything, then click the Submit button, and every single time it redirects me to a page that says "There must have been an error." I reset my browser to accept all cookies from rd.com. Still, "There must have been an error." I tried contacting the editors using the feature on their web page, but when I clicked the send button, the site again said, "There must have been an error." I am extremely frustrated and am hoping somebody on here can help me figure this out. Thanks.

  • I got a burned 50s CD but I don't know who the artist is or what the song's called.?

Starts off with a bunch of dum dum doobie doobie dum than a "wa wa wa wa."

    well I love you darlin

    so then go with me

where the undersea (probably not it, but that's what it sounds like)

    i need you darlin

    so then go with me

come come come come into my heart

    tell me darlin

    we will never part

    i need you darlin

    so then go with me

    wa wa wa wa

    yes I need you

    yes you didn't need you

please say you'll never leave me

    yes say you never

    yes you really never

*really low voice* you never give me a chance

come come come come into my heart

    tell me darlin

    we will never part

    i need you darlin

    so please go with me

    wa wa wa wa

    yeah

and then it breaks into some instrumental music with jazz instruments. The singer sounds a lot like another song on the CD that I know is by the Crests. Anybody have any idea what this song's called, or who the actual artist is?

  • That gospel song on Pursuit of Happiness?

There was the one part in the Pursuit of Happiness where he's in a church-like place with his son and there's this gospel groups singing a song. Part of the lyrics were like "Lord, don't move that mountain. Give me the strength to climb it." Does anyone know the name of the song?

  • Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright?

Does anyone know where I can get a legal copy of it? I checked iTunes but you can only get if you buy the entire album, and I don't want to buy the whole thing, just the one song.

  • Trying to find the new Potter trailer?

Yes, I know it's on Yahoo. I'm looking for that version but in mp4 format. I checked Limewire, and I checked Google, but the Google one is different than the Yahoo one. And this is the newer international one that's about 2 minutes long, not the teaser one that's under a minute.

  • Lack of personalization info on Photoshop 7?

I have a computer that had Photoshop 7, ImageReady, and Pagemaker already installed on it. At the time I never used it and it was taking up valuable space, so I decided to delete it. In case I wanted the programs later, I moved the program to a CD-R, deleted the programs from my computer, put the CD in a drawer, and forgot about it.

I have since sold the computer and become interested in making things with Photoshop, so I was excited to rediscover the CD I had put the programs on. I put the CD into my new computer and examined the files in it. Whenever I click on any of the programs to open them, it opens, but a window pops up that says "Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information." So, what is personalization information and how do I find it or make it valid? Please somebody help me.

  • Pictures of birds?

I'm trying to get a picture of a bird to use in a Photoshop image, but I've scoured Google Images for ages and haven't found what I'm looking for.

What I need is a bird, preferrably a cardinal, facing the viewer with wings spread out. No birds of prey or tropical birds please. I don't care if you draw it or find it on the Internet, just somebody please get me this picture.

    Thanks everybody in advance.

  • Problems with mp4?

I have an mp4 version of the Incredibles. It displays as a mp4 icon in my folder, and it imported into iTunes fine, but when I update my iPod, an error message pops up that reads, "The Incredibles" was not copied to [name of my iPod] because it can not be played on this iPod.' My iPod is an 80g iPod video that already has plenty of mp4s that work fine, and there is plenty of space remaining on it. The file even plays in iTunes just fine.

So, why can't the Incredibles be played on my iPod and how can I make it playable?

  • Please tell me Limewire isn't the fastest program out there?

It has taken me....I kid you not....two hours to download a song. It is still downloading right now as I type this, and I started it two hours ago. It is up to 89% after two hours. And don't get me started on video files.

I heard about Limewire pro already. I'm looking for other answers, thanks.

I'm getting really fed up with the entire Internet downloadable media franchise now.
