Just out here. Mostly just to amuse myself, Y!A is pretty entertaining.

  • What can I do with a car without a title?

My wife bought a '97 Sentra brand new before we met. She was financed by Premier Auto Finance. The car is long since paid off, but this company never sent her the title. They are now out of business. I live in VA. We went to the DMV to get a title, but the company never released the lien (wonder why they are out of business).

Can we sell the car or donate it without a title and there being a lien on it? The company that has the lien doesn't even exist anymore. Our DMV said (suprise) they can't help us.

  • Is there any doubt that Republicans aren't totally evil?

They just blocked legislation that would have extended tax incentives for investments in renewable energy.

They also support excessive profits by oil companies while those companies continue to gouge consumers with outragous prices.

Why do Republicans have such distain for the citizens that elected them? Why do they continue to so blatently support their buddies in Big Oil, while thumbing their noses at us?

  • Help! Long downward slope in my backyard?

I have about a 100 foot downward slope for a backyard at my new house. No landscaping of any kind. I am looking for ideas to make this a good, usable space for my family on a limited budget (we are a little house poor, the house itself is great).

  • Conservatives talk about being for personal freedom?

I don't understand. Conservatives talk about personal responsibility and standing for freedom. However, they are against many things people want to do in the privacy of their own home. Things like drug use, pornography, and unpopular political / religious views.

Given the fact that the Constitution clearly states that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion', how can ANY American who loves the freedoms this country guarentees, justify making consentual activities illegal? (This means no religious reasons, the Constitution says so.)

Please explain this to me, I would like to hear your point of view on how you justify the rationale.

  • Which defense do I start?

I have two poor choices: Green Bay, which is solid but going up against San Diego, or Jacksonville, who is travelling to Denver.

Packers have a great D, and the Chargers are struggling, but is this the week they figure it out? Jacksonville is playing in the high altitude, and without Henderson.

  • How can anyone seriously still support Michael Vick at this point?

He committed a horrific crime which included murdering animals in a grossly cruel way. Then he lied about it.

Anyone that initially supported Vick should, in my opinion, be furious that he lied, making the supporter look foolish.

Am I wrong, or is this a done deal - Vick is a monumental scumbag?
