Has anyone ever had the crating come apart while hauling a new dr field and brush mower on a utility trailer?
I ordered a new one, picked it up at the trucking terminal it was shipped to. The company I purchased it from said it would be fine to haul it on a open utility trailer in their crate> The brush mower was sitting on a pallet with the caragated box sitting over it , with two straps securing it to the pallet.looked good , but within 8-10 miles down the road the crating started tearing and the top started coming off. I had to stop and remove the top of the crate to keep it from blowing into someone car. the mower deck was mounted on wooden boards which had been attached to the side off the pallet with staples and cardboard, the staples and cardbord had come loose letting the deck which is sitting about 1.5 feet above the pallet lean over which could have resulted in the deck falling off into incoming traffic. So I had to lift the heavy deck of the boards and strained my back and causing disc injury. If their crating had not come apart i would not be hurt. Buyer beware!
