1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoHow do you kill a bamboo stand in my back yard?
We have finally cut it all down but the roots remain in the ground and they are very agressive in their travel underground and put up new shoots along their long root feelers. The stobs are level with the ground where we cut them off and there is a hole in the center of each stob of course as they are hollow, I was wondering about pouring something in the hole that might travel the root system and kill all.
7 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoAnyone familiar with stromatoporoidea?
I have seen a few but I found one at an abandoned rock quarry that weighs in excess of 150lbs my son and I finally managed to get it to my rock garden, I had one smaller that weighed around 20lbs. I love fossil hunting , the area I live is probably mostly ordovician as an abundants of brachiopods are the predominant fossil, some corals and bryozoans but I had no idea what stroms could get so large.
