I can't express how tired I am of the incessant multibilliondollar propaganda machine that is spreading fear and ignorance among our population in the united states regarding a public healthcare offering.

The fact is that it works, and it works very, very well in all other first world countries on this planet. Do we need to hire government officials from other first world countries to show us how they make it work? I feel powerless to stop the ignorance that so many people are helplessly and emotionally bound to.

I know health insurance corporations are holding on for dear life with all of the lobbying going on and the spread of lies about how universal healthcare is going to ruin the country (pretty sure they've succeeded, too). These corporations are acting in their own interests, not in the best interests of the American people. We must shrug off their stranglehold on our healthcare system. I'm tired of being charged these ridiculously large "deductibles" -- they are a huge incentive to not seek treatment! So we will end up with a less healthy America.

Now... how do we change it? The only way possible is if we are united in the vision of what we want to accopmlish -- in my case, this is the same kind of healthcare that we can see in Canada, the UK, France, Cuba, etc. Are there already formed organizations to this cause? I'm asking for as many good ideas as possible on how to make this work, it is pathetic to think that we can't change our own country for the better. If you are a pessimist and are going to tell me it won't work, that it's not possible, please don't take up space in the responses, those are not the answers I am looking for. If you are a right-winger or otherwise and have an opposing view, please share, I would like to hear both sides.

I am looking for foreclosed homes in the bay area. Every site that connects you to this information demands that you sign up for a "trial" of their service. I am not a real estate agent and have no need of such a service on a continuous basis, I need to relocate to the bay area for a job. Can any one who already has a service like this help me out with finding a home?

Firefly has to be the best show, scifi or no, that I have EVER seen. The setting is original, the acting superb, and the directing like I have never seen. For those who do not know what I'm talking about, Firefly is a canceled sci-fi channel series (Canceled by retards by the way) that has spawned the motion picture Serenity. If you are the slightest bit into sci fi and you have not seen either of these phenomena, you need to go down to the nearest movie rental place and acquire these works of art. So the question is, what do you think of Firefly? Every time I watch recordings of the show I am just amazed at the complexity of the story and the superb acting. Far better than modern sitcoms, which appeal to the below-average intelligence sheep TV-viewer.

Tell me why marijuana is illegal. It is less harmful than alcohol, which is legal to use if you are over 21. Marijuana has a calming effect on ppl and tends to expand the mind. Yes, it can be abused like anything but that is no excuse to send ppl to jail for what they do to themselves! If it's not hurting anyone, it shouldn't be illegal. Video games, sex, and television can be abused too. For those who would argue against it's legalization with religion, tell me why God created the plant, knowing it's effects on humans.

does anyone know where i can find a decent tutorial on how to use enumchildwindows? Don't say try googling, I've been doing that for an hour :( I'm using Visual Studio .NET, c#. I'm trying to get all of the window handles in the taskbar so i can replace it. I've succeeded in getting all of the main window handles, but there is no builtin .net method that I know of to get the child windows of a process. Any help?

I am trying to build a method that can return all of the window handles of the windows that are in the taskbar. What would be the best way to go about it?

Is it possible, with built in .NET libraries, to get the path of the windows desktop walllpaper, or to change it?

I'm trying to write an application in C# that kills windows explorer, or as an alternative I'd like to keep it from starting at all. When I kill it with the task manager, it does not restart. When I use System.Diagnostics.Process.Kill() on it it always comes back. I even imported TerminateProcess from kernel32.dll and invoked it from my c# program, yet again explorer comes back. The reason is, I want to replace windows explorer with something else of my own making.... Any advice?

This is something that gets scoffed at by society a lot, but more and more I run into seriously weird ppl who claim to be from elsewhere. And, I think it's ridiculous to think that we are the only intelligent lifeform in the universe. What do you think?
