I live in Essex and would like to purchase original pieces of art. I don't like modern/abstract and would very much like to be a patron for local artist. Any good ideas of where to buy these works in the surrounding area would be great - also, I'm not a millionaire so I'm looking for reasonable prices, say under £500. Thanks.

I've had this breed when I was younger and now with more flexible time at home, my family and I would love the company and companionship again. I've been warned off buying a puppy due to the horrors of puppy farms, but I've been unable to locate where to adopt this breed from. I'm in Essex and the closer the better. Thanks!

We're in England and my 8 year old was wondering how long does an adult crane fly live for? We've got loads flying about the house and have tried to look it up on the internet without much success.

Did you make it up or did someone suggest it?

Mine is: Never a dull moment. And it was given to me by a b/f to describe life with me. Not one I would have thought of for myself but seems to fit.

My current relationship is a different one for me as the guy I'm dating is very laid back. It doesn't seem that things don't occur to him, such as when to go out, unless I suggest it. This is the beginning of our relationship and I'd like him to take more of an active role in it. I have noticed that if I say about anything, mostly he's happy to go with my suggestions, but I don't want to be the one who "runs the show" all the time. So anyone been in this situation? Any suggestions? I really like this guy, we've got a lot in common and besides this thing everything else is going smoothly. I understand that he's a laid back guy and I don't want to change him but it would be nice if he wasn't so horizontal at times!

As a qualified teacher, what other jobs could I do in education instead of being in the classroom and still make a decent salary? Is this tall order? By the way, I live in England.

It doesn't seem that finding someone to be with gets any easier the older you get or the more people you date. At the moment, I'm dating someone that I'm very attracted to physically and mentally. He's said that he feels the same and has actually told me that he loves me. There are so many quirks about his personality, but the funny thing is, I either understand them or have them myself. I'm not used to someone being so similar to myself. There were things that other men in the past said and did things for me that I really liked that this new partner doesn't do. I guess the opinions/answers that I'm looking for is: can we be happy with something that isn't what we are used to or do we keep searching and searching for something that we think we be better (not perfect as that is impossible)? Should we still for what makes us happy to a degree even if there are a few bits missing?

I know that I'm not the only one in the world who doesn't get on with their mother. Constant critisism, never do anything right, and even tho I'm 35, I still get treated as if I'm 10. I'm also talked about and laughed at behind my back by her and I know this because it's to my ex-husband that she says these things to. I get so angry and hurt and would love to total destroy something and then cry, but know this isn't the best way to deal. So those of you in my boat, what do you do when stuff like this happens?

I'm a teacher about to start a very hectic year with loads of new things to worry about. I would love to find something natural to either take or to do (never tried yoga or anything like it before, but am open). I would like to try meditaiton but don't know where to start.

Many years ago my mom bought me a small print that I absolutely loved but have since lost. I would love to find it again but don't know where to look for it as I don't know the title or artist. So I'm hoping someone out there may know what I'm talking about or where I might be able to look to find it.
