  • What does it mean when someone says, run a wire, in jorunalistic terms?

I recently became a member of the press, and I am running with the big dogs, without any real training, I keep seeing this - "If you can run a wire review, we would appreciate it!" What the hell does that mean, like a telegraph? I am so lost, I know the AP is a cartel of free journalists, is that what they mean, to submit something to the AP? I need a journalism professor type to answer this one, thanks!

  • What if scenarios for the election . . .?

Obama gets elected and is taken out by an assassin and Biden is the President? Biden is good friends with McCain, can you see him reaching out to his old friend in time of need to help run the country as his VP?

Or, What if Obama doesn't win, and McCain dies in office, with Palin running things, who would she reach out to, to be her VP?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this...

  • Chlidren's Book from the 70s?

Ok, I am not nuts, really, but when I was a small kid, I had this series of books about shape shifting blobs, they had all different personalities and quirks, some of them could only shape shift into certain things for example.

I can vividly remember a page where you saw a split section of them all living in an apartment complex and you got to see each of their rooms and what they were doing etc. Does ANYONE have a remote clue what these books were called or where I might be able to track them down? For the record, they were cute blobs, not scary or anything, kinda like meatwad from ATHF.

  • Sixth Toe Removal?

My newborn has a sixth toe on his left foot, just like his mom, and she never had hers removed, but we want to have his removed so he doesn't have to deal with teasing and pain in sports etc etc.

There appears to be a bone in it too, so the hospital couldn't just cut it off in the delivery room, or tie it off etc.

I am asking for experienced parents to direct me to where to start for having it removed, we have heard different things and I want to know the cheapest, least painful method for my son to have it removed. Obviously, the sooner we get it done, the better.

We were told we would need a plastic surgeon, which seems excessive to me, I would think any orthopedic doctor could remove it in his office, but, again, I dunno, that is why I am asking the YA Universe.

  • What do all the people who hate GW think about this article?

I found this a very interesting article, and to be honest, I had no idea we were doing so much for Africa under Bush.

I wonder if George Clooney is privvy to this information?

  • Does anyone else find it comforting to see Clemens lie under oath to Congress?

It reminds me of another prominent figure who lied under oath to Congress, what was his name again? It depends on what the word is is, classic!

I could really care less if baseball players take HGH, why does Congress (OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS) have to investigate? If anything, let the gambling conglomerates sue them, leave MY money out of this crap!

To Clemens I say, keep lying, it worked for Clinton, why should anyone have integrity before Congress anyway, they are the worst liars around!

  • Darvocet, Steroids and Zyrtec, ok to breastfeed?

  • Is it just me, or could you really care less about the writer's strike?

I mean, who really loses sleep over this crap? Most of the garbage we watch nowadays is reality-based nonsense. To think that these people will affect our daily lives is ludicrous.

  • New Game Show, Power of Ten, did anyone watch it?

My friend at work mentioned he was thumbing through the channels and saw a question, provocative to be sure:

What percentage of Americans, given a hand gun with Bin Laden in front of them would pull the trigger and kill him?

He asked me this, making me think he had the answer, when in fact, he missed the answer. Did anyone catch the answer? He wanted me to be as frustrated as he was, nice guy, eh?
