I am almost 17 and I would like to have a project to work on after work. If I had the funds, would remodeling a camper trailer be a way to also make a little money after i am done with it. Like flipping a house. I have the skill and a little construction experience to complete the job, or know people who do have the special skills I will need. What I am asking is- is it just to much of a risk at my age? I do want a little risk to make it fun though. What would be the expected profit on a good looking job?

I am looking at buying a 2003 cummins. It has about a 6 inch lift on it and 35 inch tires. The vehicle slams into drive quite hard, shaking the entire car. Also, when full throttle is applied, it goes through first and second gear normally, but seems to die for about three seconds at the bottom of third gear. Is this something to be concerned about? The truck has 174,000 miles on it and is $17,000

If we trailer our boat to Long Beach to go boating for a few days, what boat ramp should we use? Do we need a pass to use it and how much does it cost? We kind of want to stay in Rainbow Harbor and stay at the Hyatt. How much does a slip cost to rent and how to we go about doing it? Where do we fuel the boat?! Our 27 foot Azure open bow rider is not really meant for the ocean, so can we travel to Catalina Island and back with the bow cover on (evening and morning) safely? What else can we do while we are there? Any great places to swim? This will be our first time to the ocean with the boat! Any hints?

I noticed many larger boats have 2 whips on top of their vessel. After some brief research on the internet, I found that one is for a vhf radio and one is for a uhf radio. Is this correct? Why would you want both frequencies? What is a uhf radio?

Because of the previous questions I asked, we have lost a lot of hope that our 27 foot Azure bow-rider will survive the Pacific Ocean. What kind of boat should we be looking at to venture out to say Catalina Island. Would some sort of center console be better? What is the difference between those and our boat? What if we decide we want to sleep on the boat, what do we do then?

From what we understand, our 27 foot Azure open bow-rider may not be acceptable for trailering to the Pacific to go boating. If we do decide to trailer it down from Colorado, how many miles can we travel away from shore safely. As you may have guessed, we have no experience with the ocean. Our boat is equipped with a 300 horse power stern-drive motor, GPS chartplotter, 70 gal. fuel tank, and VHF radio.

We were thinking about trailering our boat to California to boat on the ocean. We have no experience with the ocean and have no idea how our boat will react to the large waves. We have a VHF radio on the boat, a 70 gal. Fuel tank, and gps chart-plotter. If we boat on the ocean, how far should we go out and is there any information that we need to know? Also, what additional equipment should we get before we go?
