  • Why shouldn't NASCAR limit one team per owner like every other major sport does?

This is one of the major factors in my rapidly fading interest in NASCAR. NASCAR may not be considered a "team" sport like baseball, football, etc, but they do have teams. Hendrick(4 cars) and Gibbs(3 cars) won 18 of the 30 races so far. Aside from the top 3+ car owners (Hendrick, Gibbs, Rousch, and Childress) only 22 cars have finished in the top 3 in 30 races. Most of those are other multi car teams (Stewart-Haas, Earnhardt-Ganassi, and Penske). From the few races I watched and some random browsing, the only driver not in any of these teams to make an appearance in the top 10 with any sort of regularity is Kurt Busch. Wouldn't it be much more competitive if all 43 drivers had at least a slim chance of winning?

  • Are we all ready to take another step down the stairs to socialism?

Obama's getting control of the banks, got his foot in the door with health care, and now the king of arrogance is going for a nationalized auto industry. Hope all you folks who voted this fool in just because of his race, or just because he wasn't Bush are happy now, because there sure isn't much happiness in the future.

  • Shouldn't the President know what his executive orders are ordering?

While signing his two of his first executive orders, Obama has to ask his counsel, Greg Craig, what they mean. You feel safe now?

  • Whatever happened to due process?

Gov. Blago has not been charged, or indicted for any crime. Why are Dems pushing for his removal? Why isn't his legally appointed successor to Obama going to be seated? I thought innocence was assumed until guilt was proven. Something about this whole mess just doesn't smell right.

  • Is this why Obama won't be the subject of late night comedy?

This morning, on the Chris Matthews "We Love Obama Show" they were mentioning how popular it was for the president to be fodder for the late night comics. They cited Don Rickles feeble attempt at a joke on Letterman as being racist. They played the "joke". It was by no means funny, but it was by no means racist either. All it was was a reference to Obama playing basketball. It was just stupid, that's all. Is that what we are calling racist these days? No wonder none of the comics want to spoof him. Maybe someone should tell Andrea Mitchell, the first of Matthews' Obamabots to point out the racist quality of Rickles' joke, that basketball is not just played by blacks, nor do blacks do nothing but play basketball.

  • Will the Clinton administration get it right this time?

They left after sending the economy in a downward spiral back in 2000. Now Barry is bringing them all back for an encore. Are we supposed to HOPE they will CHANGE and get it right this time?

  • Does Obama really understand the economy?

In "the worst economy since the Great Depression", he holds a $28k/plate fundraiser. It just doesn't fit, unless he just doesn't know what he's talking about. Can you explain it?

  • Is there another site similar to this one that works better?

With the random "breather" breaks for no reason, extremely flawed and unfair reporting system, etc. this is getting old. I like the idea of the format, it's just done poorly on this site.

  • Why a mandatory caution with only 10 laps left???

This makes no sense to me. I'm only a very casual NASCAR viewer, so someone needs to explain the logic here to me. I've seen it done in the early stages of the race, and that makes sense, but why the end? A guy races his tail off to get in a position to win, and they make him stop. Totally a mystery to me. Do you serious fans like it?

  • Is it typical that most Democrats are so clueless?

Some people tell me they think Obama is such a great choice for President. I ask them, "Do you like the idea of the government trying to control more and more aspects of your daily life?" They say no, but Obama says yes. I ask, "Do you value your second amendment right to bear arms?" They say yes, Obama is 100% anti-gun rights. I ask, "Do you want to send more of your money to Washington to support an increasing number of social programs to support people who don't have the drive to support themselves?" They say no, Obama says, "Show me the money." I ask, "Do you want a president who can be counted on to protect our country against terrorism?" They say "Of course." Obama says, "Well, lets talk" I ask, "Why is Obama such a good choice for President?", And they get a blank look on their face. Anybody else get this reaction?

  • Aren't we supposed to quit discriminating?

To me, Obama is just another politican. But, for the last two days, the media has been harping on the fact that he's a black man. Why is this kind of discrimination acceptable? Why aren't Jesse Jackson and Al Shapton out there berating the media for discrimination? If the media were to be making a big deal out of the white half of his ancestry, and not mentioning the black half, would that be OK? If not, why?

  • Will NASCAR ever be a man's sport again, or are we stuck with these little babies for good?

Cry about how bad the car handles, cry about the tires, cry about the rules, cry about other drivers, cry about the track. Enough already! Will these guys ever grow up and be men? They make millions driving a car around a track and all they can do is whine about everything. Bye-Bye NASCAR, your pampered little babies have cost you another fan.

  • Is Obama really that good of a speaker?

He gave a speech in Grand Forks, ND Friday night, near where I live. I had never really heard much of his speeches so I listened for about fifteen minutes since it was aired live by local stations. It all seemed like pretty normal political banter to me. What did make an impact was that after saying what "great freinds" our state Representative and Senators were to him, and how proud he was to serve with "such great men of character", he had to look down at his notes to read their names. I don't know about you, but I know the names of my good freinds, without notes. maybe just because it's little old North Dakota he didn't feel he needed to be in top form. I just don't see anything special in him.

  • Could someone tell me what Obama means by "change"?

What is he going to change? During the very short time he's been in the senate he's voted right along party lines 96.7% of the time. How does that change anything? Also, during that short period of time, he has failed to author any significant bill that would suggest he means to change anything. Basically, he's just been going with the flow. What's the big deal?

  • Why is the television media so biased?

When the Larry Craig thing was reported, they changed his first name to "Republican". But in all the stories about Eliot Spitzer, I have yet to hear them refer to him as a Democrat. Can any of you libs who say the media isn't biased give me an intelligent explanation for this?

  • Can the government really run healthcare?

On this site alone, there are nearly 600 questions about veterans benefits alone. I looked at many, they ask here because the government can't or won't answer them. These people should be running healthcare for the entire country?

  • How can any of the candidates currently "serving" in the Senate, count that as experience?

McCain, Obama, and Clinton, all elected to represent their constituents in their states, have 3 of the 6 worst missed votes percentages. (Not counting Tim Johnson for medical reasons)McCain missed 55%, Obama 38% and Clinton 25%. They were elected to do a job and they don't do it. I don't care if they are running for president, this just proves they will turn their back on the people who elected them if something better comes along.
